Thank you for the accurate review of Jobless reincarnation, I started watching it today, and I couldn't even finish the first episode... the main character is a complete creep! Based on your review, it seems it only gets worse... I'm surprised the creators of the manga/anime just casually went with something like this... to be the main protagonist no less. I mean if such a person existed in real life, he would end up in jail.

In your first paragraph, you allude to "them" (who is "them?" Are you aware that different studios produce different shows? or, are you stupid enough to think only one anime studio exists in Japan?) bringing back Slime Isekai and Re:Zero. That is incorrect. Those are both highly popular adaptations that were already planned for continuation soon after their respective seasons ended. Heck, mid-season announcements of continuation are not irregular, as was the case for all 3 shows. You also allude to how the author has no idea how psychology works. So, Mr Reddit Therapist, how do people with depression behave? I personally have moderate clinical depression. A few of my friends are more severe. Rudeus's experience was pretty accurate for us. Maybe you shouldn't express your opinion on how people operate, yeah?

In your second paragraph, you open with saying the story is directionless. So, you have no concept of basic storytelling? A good story has downtime and periods of "nothingness" to allow for character building and allowing the audience time to empathize with the characters. A competent author can keep an audience engaged while having slice of life stuff going on. You also mention that Rudeus is disregarding decency and the law. I'm curious, what is your evidence? Lilia and Pursena acted on their own in episode 3 and were reprimanded. Rudeus has, for the most part, been pretty decent. If you're talking about what he did to those two in the first cour, sure, that was a step too far. That said, it's clear they found a new level of respect for him and accepted it as comeuppance. It's weird, but try making friends irl. People are weird.

I haven't seen people crying about others dropping the show. In fact, on other forums and even here, the general consensus among fans is that the show isn't for everyone and it's fine if someone is dissatisfied about the current progression of the story. What you are doing here is strawmanning.

You make the awful choice of accusing fans of comparing MT and Frieren. You are incorrect. There tends to be a ton of crossover between shows in a similar genre. Frieren and MT happen to both be fantasy series with MT's one dividing factor being it's a reincarnation story as well. It's not unusual for the good writing of both works to attract fans from one to the other, and for discussions to briefly touch on similarities. It's what keeps fanbases fresh and lively. Also, Frieren's story up to when they introduce Stark is pretty "meandering" as how you might describe MT. The general slowness of a 10 year journey on a map that isn't that much larger than the entirety of South America to the tip of Canada in North America should tell you something. Frieren is as much about "screwing around" as MT or any other well-written story. I don't recall Frodo and co doing a straight path to Mordor, and I read all the books and watched the movies.

Hello, i saw your Mushoku tensei review and im here to tell you i did something like this with first season, and they banned me, people just threw so much hate on me for disliking it that i got banned and my review besides being more liked than disliked, went deleted.

If you do your research like I said, you will find it in the top 10 with Rezero, but regardless of that, the fact that you are comparing the popularity and selling of the series to how good it is is a problem in itself. I can give a lot of bad stories and characters and still manage to clear a lot of masterpiece series with how much they gain from selling and popularity, but if that's how you judge a series, there's no need for further discussion with you, and don’t compare two series without at least reading the source material. I doubt you've even read a light novel in your life.

LOL do your research better dude it sold more than 13+ copies for your info and on the famous website lets be novelist was ranking number one for years and frieren clearly lack depth and character writing is poorly executed and most characters are literally bots that have no emotions its a good series but it wont be a masterpiece its for teenagers for sure with lack of real motives for the characters and just hyped up fights that they have no real risks while fighting it’s become shonen later on in the manga so it becomes midcore really quick like i said i read sources material unlike you 😁

What are you babbling about when talking about streaming services and their ranking? If you wanna go by that, Mushoku Tensensei LN is the top 10 selling series of all time by just 2 years after the series finished its first season, and I talked about story, world building, side characters, and their depth and complexity, not ranking on irrelevant media. You clearly couldn’t even give a proper explanation why you think the story, side characters, or even the world-building is bad. I guess you're just one of these bots that didn’t actually watch the show and follow what people said about the main character being a pedo, so no need to continue this discussion. Go watch your midcore shows. 

Frieren have depth lol you clearly dont know what depth means and what good writing mean mushoku has one of the best world building out there with astonishing side characters that have depth like ruijerd and orsted oh wait you might not know them because you watched 1 ep and dropped it then claimed that the show have no where to go when clearly main character object is to live his life to the fullest but you clearly can’t comprehend that and you said side characters are forgettable so then why most people still remember roxy, eris, ruijerd and so more you clearly are delusional Keep yourself safe, buddy, and write a review that is at least honest, not just hating the series without any reason. Oh, and yeah, one last piece of information you need to know: you said that Frieren has a point, and that is to understand humans more, even though she lived for more than a thousand years, and Mushoku has no point because he's trying to live his life like a realistic person who got reincarnated and not just dull characters that have no emotion, well can you see the difference here and how you review is contradicting itself.
