Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku?

Two adventure-genre shows with girls journeying in a post-apocalyptic world to get somewhere. Both worlds are but a husk of their former shells after change happened and aside from adventure, there is mystery and a bit of suspense as well in what lies ahead. 

Exploring an altered landscape, journeying to an uncertain end - the themes in Shuumatsu Train already remind me of Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (Girls Last Tour) even though the show just started airing. There's danger, mystery, the promise of adventure - I have a feeling fans of one show will end up enjoying the other.  

Both are about a group of young girls exploring a unique post apocalyptic world whos main motive is to get to an end location in search of something. wheres they stop by and encounter many different people, creatures and anomalies along the way during their travels. Both relies on similar worldbuilding as they both have many strange nonsensical architecture, and the main cast have a vehicle that they frequently use to traverse The main difference is that one is much more muted and subtle whist the other is much more colorful and more rambly main cast 

Both of them involves the main cast adventuring and exploring many different places that are different from your typical fantasy/ scifi. The places they visited have their theme of own unique style of customs and problems and environments to them where's the main cast have or encounters a quark that prevents them from staying for too long 

Both are absurdist fantasies that carry sophisticated humour and social commentary beneath an innocent surface. Underrated gems for a selective audience. 

Both shows feature a main cast of 4 girls going on an adventure around a dystopian Japan, visiting many different areas throughout the show. The dytopian nature leads to eccentric settings that provide unique challenges the girls must face. There is a dark backstory looming behind, despite the two shows seeming upbeat at first glance. If you are a fan of surreal worldbuilding, you'll definitely enjoy these shows. 

Both are CDGCT about school girls deciding to band up and venture in a magical fantastical journey in hopes of finding someone who had gone missing in some way.
