Both series tell us about a group of girls exploring the vast post-apocalyptic world. After the world end, the landscape changed significantly, and unknown creatures and the rusty remnants of the previous civilization now inhabit the world.

They may not share the same aesthethic, like one is in apocalyptic world and the other doesn't, but what this two series shared is the theme (I guess ?), where the MC using a motorized vehicle visiting one place / city / community / nation / what have you, to another. And each place they visit have their own quirk and problems - The 2017 one is good as well, it's not exactly retelling the same place, tho some of them is, but there is also a new one as well P.s Sorry if my english is bad

Both shows make you feel like you are having a strange dream when you are watching them. Also, they both have the premise that something happened and changed the world drastically.

- Upbeat CGDCT aesthetic - Darker backstory - Ever so slightly arthouse - Silliness, maximalism - 4 girl cast - Road trip - Transportation method fetishization There you go

A group of girls set off on an adventure to find someone who's missing. APFTTU is much more grounded in reality, whereas Train to the End is much more fantastical.

Both are CDGCT Slice of life with a suspenseful horror elements added to it where the world had suddenly went dystopia due to a mysterious disaster/ event. One is post apocalyptic, while the other is about zombies. Though occasionally cross between

Both of these are Tv series that takes place in a very scifi post apocalyptic world with a lot of strange occurrences such as animals getting cursed in some way. Both also similar styles and have some comedic moments, is just that one is CDGCT and the other isn't.

Both features cute girls that takes place in a very scifi post apocalyptic setting with their own worldbuilding in which has came out in the same season. They both features quite a bit of mysterious elements and action scenes. The main difference is that one have more Moden features such as guns and have a higher volume of action

Definitely very similar shows. A similar concept of traveling by train through a post-apocalyptic world. The main characters are trying to survive and find out the cause of the disaster. Who is behind all this?

Both are adventures featuring young main characters investigating something mysterious by going deep inside a place they are not familiar with where they run into may sights and siturations on their way Both takes place in a fantastical world with very unique and intriguing worldbuilding. they also have similar pacing and some fansurvace

The plot and setting of both are very odd, eccentric, and strange; you won't see anything quite like either of these anime. Along with the oddities, there are some drama and slice-of-life aspects with a cast of girls experiencing their teenage years who are still figuring out who they are.

World suddenly change into a "Fever dream" - like state. Travle through strange enviroments and just getting more questions rather then answers. Can things go back to normal? What is even real? Then smash that together with overall bonds and vibe of "A place further than the Universe" and you have this.

And each place they visit have their own quirk and problems - I'm just copy pasting the same text from the original one. Tho I recommend both of them, yes they have some similiar place, but there's also an original one that the 2003 one doesn't have P.s Sorry if my english is bad

Both involve a group of people traveling on a train to a destination in a post apocalyptic world.

Both have a dystopic society that crumbled due to technological advances. Humans have their bodies transformed and live in bad conditions.

- Both feature a cast of school-aged girls - Both seem normal on the surface, but very quickly turn trippy - Both threaten to reveal darker secrets looming beneath - Both are anime originals
