Reviews

Pretentiousness. This word was discussed to death, and I believe it applies here; but instead of ranting, Ive forced (or rather, violated) myself to re-endure this series just so I can make a proper review.
I'd warn about spoilers ahead, but the series was already rotten from the start, so I won't bother with spoiling it some more.

Story:2
A chronically depressive schoolgirl wonders if her hallucinations are due to having become psychotic, developing multiple personalities disorder or being just paranormal. Other than that, the plot is nigh inexistent, it's just a dragged-out exposition of why she had these visions.
Finally, said girl realizes she's a goddess, throws an emo tantrum and resets everything.
Throughout the series we're exposed to some Area 51-based conspiracy theory, culminating with a (very brief) introduction to HTTP theory and a lot of pseudo-scientific and philosophical fallacies.
Fallacies, you ask, to which I reply, YES!
Not to make it too long, I'll develop only on the ones that impact most on the (lack of) plot:
- Using the ELF 8Hz (that's eight BITS per second) Shumann resonance, it's possible to make every bit or transmission hardware become obsolete;
- It can not only transmit more than a few letters per minute, but even induce complete 3D hallucinations to every web user in the world;
- It can move non-magnetic materials, including organics;
- People can use (or at least receive) such ELF radio waves without sticking monstrously long antennas on their foreheads;
- If something is forgotten, it never happened.

Art:2
If I wanted to give empty praise, I'd say that the minimalistic approach and creative photography are on masterpiece level... but it's not, really.
Instead, they have a lazy art and a lousy animation, and resort to stuff like using overexposure and over-contrast, granulated film, unfocused images, fast semi-subliminal images and weird camera angles - these tricks were used in experimental, pseudo-intellectual films in the '60s and '70s to induce VISUAL FATIGUE, which would tire out the audience and make it think that it became tired because of the mental effort!!!

Sound:3
Minimalistic, but possibly adequate soundtrack and OP/ED.
Out-of-character and out-of-sync voice acting.

Character:1
Erm... Lead emo girl full of mental disorders, and a cardboard-flat support cast.

Enjoyment:1
As I said, I violated myself to re-endure this series.
