This remake is interesting from the point of view of the approach to creating anime adaptations in different "eras". The history of anime as an industry can be divided into many periods: the golden one is the 90s, when the popularity and demand for Japanese animation began to grow, and it acquired its final formula. 2000s - when digital effects were already being used in animation, the format moved to 16:9, and popularity outside Japan increased, largely thanks to the Internet. 2010s, a mass audience has formed, and now there is a period of active use of 3D.

The old adaptation and the current remake are vivid representatives of their eras, and when comparing them, you can find various trends and features that appeared during the time gap when the remake and the original were released. But both adaptations are united in one thing - they are made with respect for both fans and the mass audience. And judging by the first episode, this applies even more to the remake.

Speaking of the atmosphere, I perceive the original as warmth cooled by a cool autumn wind, the narrative is measured like a walk in silence. And the remake feels like a memory of an important period of life, a kind of tribute, which makes it more exciting, but at the same time with the same warmth that takes on a nostalgic tinge. As far as I know, "freeren" adheres to a similar formula, which suggests that the audience is very hooked on this. They will probably fight for the audience award this year... Two roadmovies. But I got off the subject.

I liked the OPENING less than the ENDING, as it feels more generic and tasteless compared to the opening of the original, although, abstracting from the comparison, it is quite good. But the ending just leans on what is needed - folkiness and lampiness, which is even cooler than in the ending of the first season of the original, where it was rather just fun. But the soundtrack still didn't disappoint. Yes, he lost the folkiness and originality that was in the original, but he began to emphasize more directly the situation in which he plays.

ANIMATION is the most noticeable difference, and it has changed the most. And it turned out extremely well - the use of 3D allowed for a smaller or the same budget to make the characters more mobile, and the environment more detailed. And some 3d "artifacts" are quite well disguised, it is clear that the authors have already got their hands on this. Although, of course, some scenes are staged more primitively, it feels like there is a little lack of camerawork. This was especially noticeable in the first trailer, but then the authors apparently put it in order, which we will see in the next episodes.

And in the end, I am sure that the remake is a banger, a journey that will capture the viewer in its course, and will become that very memory and experience. There is 1 genius for 500 hacks, and even if it is a remake, this is what I personally lacked.
