Why should you watch Arakawa?
Because one thing that I love about anime is that it always surprise me with creative and original stories: this is one of that. The clash of two worlds: the main character, a CEO with daddy issues that is only worried about work, money and success, meets a girl who lives under the bridge and her "weird" neighbors (but what is "weird"?).
The animation is so fast that you cannot even blink: each second you get a new image, with different colours, desing, perspective, emotion (I'm not an expert so it's difficult to explain!) so you have to be very focused! Amazing soft colours.
And of course, it's a comedy! and a really funny one, with an absurd humor. But don't think it just jokes... the beggining of every episode there is a deep short reflexion about human life.
Finally, one notable thing in my opinion: Arakawa is not the main character's name. Arakawa is the name of the river under the bridge. IT is the true main character. Think about that when you watch it!
Why do I love it?
I love every single character, except the main one! (weird!) but it is the necessary other side of the mirror. I guess I see things about myself that I don't like on him (like the daddy issues). So you might get to know more about yourself watching this anime, which are you life goals, what are the real important things in life. And it is hilarious. The only negative aspect: I don't like the opening!

Por qué hay que ver Arakawa?
Porque una cosa que amo del animé es que siempre me sorprende con historias creativas y originales: esta es una de esas. El choque de dos mundos: el personaje principal, un gerente con traumas paternales que solo se preocupa por su trabajo, el dinero y éxito, conoce a una chica que vive bajo un puente con sus vecinos "raros" (¿pero qué es ser "raro"?)
La animación es tan rápida que no puedes pestañear: cada segundo ves una nueva imagen, donde cambian los colores, el diseño, la perspectiva, la emoción (¡no soy una experta, así que es difícil de explicar!) así que tiene que estar muy concentrado! Los colores pasteles son geniales.
Y, por supuesto, ¡es una comedia! y una realmente divertida, con un humor absurdo. Pero no creas que solo son bromas... al comienzo de cada episodio hay una pequeño profunda reflexión sobre la vida humana.
Finalmente, una cosa notable, en mi opinión: Arakawa no es el nombre del personaje principal. Arakawa es el nombre del río bajo el puente. Él es el verdadero personaje principal. Piensa en eso cuando lo veas!
Por qué me encanta?
Me encantan cada uno de los personajes, ¡excepto el personaje principal! (raro!, no?) pero es el infaltable otro lado del espejo. Creo que veo ciertas cosas de mí misma que no me gustan, reflejadas en él (como los traumas parentales). Así que tal vez puedas aprender más de ti mismo viendo este animé, cuáles son tus metas en la vida, cuáles son las cosas realmente importantes de la vida. Y es hilarante. El único aspecto negativo: no me gusta el opening!
