Preliminary (7/12 eps)
I know Onee-chan ga Kita hasn't finished airing yet, but this review will be on my current thoughts and analysis.

This anime falls into a generic genre of an incestial love between step-siblings, is what I was thinking before i started to watch it. I think the main reason I actually decided to start it was because I was scanning CR for something interesting. Well, to sum it up, this anime is special in a way. The episodes are 3 or so minutes long and the art style is different. It basically took something like OniAi (Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!) took the main flags, and removed basically everything else. Now you're left with the romantic turning points, the funny parts, and a little bit of character development.

-From here on there will be spoilers up until episode 7 as I have only seen up to episode 7-

Plot: 7/10
Tomoya is a 13yo boy in middle school. He's friends with a girl named Fujisaki Mina and a pervert-ish guy named Hanazono Mitsuru. His dad was single until he remarried, giving him a 17yo, brocon sister named Ichika, who tries her hardest to get Tomoya to fall in love with her. Her friends are somewhat normal, nothing special. Meanwhile at school, Mitsuru likes to bring up the fact he's jealous to no end and wants his own possessive sister etc. Mine on the other hand, used to be bullied when she was younger. She thought it was smartest to make herself cute so guys wouldn't bully her. That's how she's trying to live, but girls are always neglecting her. She's also the devil at times, kinda. By having a short temper sometimes she'd snap and guys'd run way, but Tomoya has a crush on her, (or so I'm lead on to think due to blatancy) and gives her patience. Mina slowly starts to open up to Tomoya, and that's all it's progressed so far.
Kinda generic and there's no real reason why his step sisters a brocon or in such deep love.

Art: 8/10
It's got a cool painting type feeling to it. Its unusual, but nice. It strangely fits the anime very well.

Sound: 9/10
I was watching it on CrunchyRoll and the quality was stellar, (to be expected from CR) but they didn't use any royal free sound effects and the music was subtly and fit nicely.

Characters: 9/10
I already explained the backstory in the Plot part, so I'll give a brief summary on the main characters traits.
Tomoya: He's timid and a little bit shy.
Ichika: She's quiet, determined, thoughtful, and creepily stalker-like at times.
Mitsuru: He's an average guy. Nothing more really has to be said.
Mina: she's a short tempered, narrow minded tsundere in a way. She always has a Facade up, and usually finds everyone annoying.

Onee-chan ga kita hasn't finished airing and's still only half way to the finish or so, but is an enjoyable anime if you've got a little spare time.
