the main character finds themselves in a situation where they think they have no place they belong to since their parents have divorced and their fathers are married to another woman. they both feel jealous of their step-sibling; who has taken their place in the household. both female characters end up living at a guys house.

Both MCs run away from home and live in a house with males and fall in love with the head of that household. The MCs have family issues, revolving around the emotional refusal/abandonment of their surviving blood relative.
Both have the word taiyou (sun) in their titles, that are used as a metaphor.

Both stories are about a girl running away from home due to having issues with their respective families. In addition to this both stories also are about living together with people that aren't their families. They're both about the "tenant" falling in love with the "landlord" and are both about a high school girl falling for a working man. Both are shojou romances with love triangles (obviously). Even the names are similar. Lastly, they both revolve around healing their past scars, Taiyou no Ie focusing on both the ML and FL's problems where as Yumemiru Taiyou focuses more on the ML's past.
