Both series are rom-coms that focuses heavily on character relationships. The main male protagonist has a similar personality who hides their real self from others. Initially, they treat the female protagonist as no more than a mere plaything but later on develops genuine feelings for her. There's also love triangles that develops as their story progresses. Exploring the days of school life while learning about love, both series mixes comedy, drama, and romance each chapter to a variety of degrees. Do note that Mitsu x Mitsu Drops contains some smutty scenarios while Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji focuses more on comedy.
