Although not entirely the same, both series involves humans with supernatural abilities which are considered a threat to society. They are feared and society regards them as monsters.
Both series has psychological themes as well as gore, blood, and violence.
Both series' main male protagonist also has similar personalities and their lives are changed forever after a certain event.
Both series also has a mysterious like background regarding the origins of the characters, the setting, and how events came to be involving some of the supernatural powers presented.
GnB is very similar to DW, both have the similar situations where the main lead character is brought into a situation that changes his life forever, the male leads have similar connections to the main female lead in their pasts.
They also have the same situation with the collars, if the characters dont eat medicine the collars will kill them (however in GnB, the male lead doesnt have one, only the females do).
Main lead doesnt have any special powers though, it also has the same amounts of gore and violence as well. GnB has a haremish tone to it but no worries to those
