Although not with the same premise, both series adapt a similar feeling in a fantasy setting.
The main male protagonists from both series are considered "heroes" and often try to get work done alone. The female protagonists from the series share a strange bond with him.
There is some action, drama, and adapts more of an adventure premise for both series.
It also features some past histories related to the events in the stories and how they came to be.
They both have the some level of adventure and a "hero" that they rely on; however, the girls in both series are still strong and are able to stand strong on their own as well.
