Death Parade and Yu-Gi-Oh S0 are two fantasy game anime where an otherworldly being tasks humans to mysterious games of all kinds—they are often rigged to test the ones being challenged and further bring out "the darkness in one's heart", leading to crazy and likely even dangerous consequences. The show features many different people who are challenged and the story can surprisingly be heartfelt at times. Both anime also feature some of the best OPs I have ever heard/seen.
