Both animes have main characters came from Japan to their mmoprg game world and they are strongest characters in their game world. Besides, they both have supportiing npcs called legend in their world. Both anime is about main characters travelling, going on adventures and finding pets and spirits. So similar and a bit cliche
Both MCs ended up living as their avatar in their respective RPG world, set after a hundred years of the main game setting (200 years for Leadale and 500 years for the New Gate).
Later on in the story, they meet with their NPC.
