The feeling of the two stories seemed one and the same to me. They both gave off a warm nostalgic feeling that left you with a smile on your face. The stories are both deep and heartwarming, and can also be sad. Kobato has more of a light feel to it, because it can make you laugh.
In both stories there is:
-romance
-friendship
-a sweet innocent girl
-A guy that keeps a tough act
-supernatural qualities
-A heartwarming story
if you like one, then you'll like the other.
