Both these series involves female pilots/combatants soaring through the sky to protect what they believe in. Both series contains characters of unique personalities. Friendship and struggles are also explored as episodes progresses on.
There is action, comedy, drama, and later some romance (in Sky Girls) present for these two series. The soundtrack of both of these anime(s) are also something to take a note of.
