If you have seen Haikyuu and decide to watch Ao Hashi it feels like it's a different story told by same people (studio). Or vice versa. Which is pretty cool! - Both are sports anime made by the same studio - The importance of number 10 player is still going strong - Main characters (Hinata / Ashito) are both hardworking energetic people, but of course they have their differences as well. - Both series feature crows as a symbol.

Alright this recommendation might seem a bit on the nose, nevertheless the comparisons are well worthwhile. As sports anime they have similar feels and pacing you can tell that Production I.G has put a good amount of care into both of these series. While the protagonists in both series have similar high-energy personalities they both have very different skill sets for their positions with one for volleyball (Haikyuu!!) and soccer. (Ao Ashi) The joy of watching a Production I.G sports anime is a caliber above other sports series, it's always a joy seeing the team grow.

~Both anime are about team sports. ~So far the main characters are proving to be extremely similar (for example, they're both energetic and passionate about both the sport and their teammates). ~Both anime are produced by the same studio.

Both of these anime have a main character who wants to become a pro player, but happens to be selfish and competitive. However, in both series, the protagonist becomes better because of the power of teamwork. Both Ao Ashi and Haikyuu have realistic moments. In other words, they're not supernatural. Both series contain slight romance and a good chemistry between the pairs. In both series there's a character who has someone who inspired them so they end up being like them.

Ao Ashi represents a football anime with more technical terms instead of super-power, just like Haikyuu with its volleyball theme. Both main characters are lack of technical skills at the start but gifted. They also have a high spirit and commitment to be the best. Instead of Shounen, Ao Ashi is considered as Seinen ani-manga.

Similar pacing and energy to Haikyuu. Follows a group of high school boys in their adventure to master a sport, and can be passionate and over-dramatic at times.

Aoashi and Haikyuu are both popular sports anime series that revolve around high school athletes and their passion for their respective sports. While Haikyuu focuses on volleyball, Aoashi centers around soccer. Both shows highlight the dedication, teamwork, and growth of the main characters as they strive to achieve their goals. They also feature intense matches, rivalries, and a strong emphasis on friendship and camaraderie. So if you enjoy the excitement and competitive spirit of Haikyuu, you might find Aoashi just as thrilling! ⚽️🏐

- Both main characters have love for a sport, and keep practicing even through the challenges they face. - While the main character from Haikyuu is at a disadvantage because of his height, the main character from Ao Ashi is at a disadvantage because of his povertish backround. - They both are animated by the same studio (Production I.G.). - They have similar "rivals", who have exactly what they want. The main character from Haikyuu's rivals have height, which he lacks. The main character from Ao Ashi's rivals have money to afford new cleats and travel for soccer, which he struggles to do. - Both very entertaining sport   read more
