Planet With

Disregarding Trigger works that went into another direction, Planet With is as close to TTGL as I have ever seen. Both give a cosmic meaning to the phrase "surpass oneself", intertwining action packed mecha battles with colourful characters arcs.
They diverge though due to their relative positions in the anime medium. TTGL the longer forefather series focuses on raw energy and will, both in themes and in animation thanks to Gainax, while Planet With is a reflexion on TTGL: shorter, the plot and animation are more streamlined, thanks to JC Staff, while also exploring the themes of love and forgiveness.
Both shows features mechas fighting other mechas, with an enemy seeking to prevent humanity from advancing. The similarities in these two shows are not limited to just the storyline and the mechs, but also the beautiful and dramatic visuals, the mechas piloting bigger mechas, and the growth of the main character. If you like one, you will like the other.
Mecha series filled with crazy action, wonderful characters and stories with great themes to carry the narrative to the end!
-Planet With have the same themes and a similar concept that TTGL (a alien organisation that want to "seal" humanity to avoid they evolution)
-Both have mecha and bizzare ideias, but TTGL is much more epic!

Both shows build their hype so well and have very fast pacing.
Main difference being that Gurren Lagann has amazing animation while Planet With doesn't have that.
Other differences include: Planet With is faster than Gurren Lagann.
Planet With is more quirky than Gurren Lagann.
Both Series have similar setting, but conclusion have different point of view
- Guren lagann told in point of evolution of human's civilization.
- Planet with told in point of government which haven't any ideal is wrong.
