Being a part timer is never easy and both shows do a great job of showing that. Both shows have good comedy to go along with a humorous cast of characters.

Both feature part-timers. Both features a plot where a hero is sent to another world to live in a new culture. Both feature a high level of actual enjoyable humour. Both main characters are enthusiastic, to say the least... Both have a group of friends predominantly causing drama for the main character.

I would say that these animes have a similar feel to them. They start off very intense, more or less, and devolve into plotless comedies. Of course Hataraku Maou-sama has more of a subtle underlying plot with the ships and the aspect that he might return, but most of that isn't in the anime. The feel is similar and the comedy is similar.

Harem. Fantasy. Similar plot about stuck characters in parallel world. Same humor and a lot of parodies.

Both are comedies where the main character is thrown into another world and tries to live a normal (for this world) life there.

Both Hataraku Maou-sama! and KonoSuba have a unique blend of humor, action, and character development that makes them stand out from other anime in their respective genres.

You got comedy with these, hey it's fun to watch the difference between someone who has no powers at the start, whilst having a Goddess that has little power, then compare it to a demon king who's just living life working part time, whilst putting up with a knight who tried to kill him. They're good to watch with some friends on a weekend, or alone.

-Both are isekai animes that are filled with comedy. -Konosuba is much more pervier tho. -Fights in Konosuba are not that important, anime is filled with chaotic comedy moments.

Hilarious misadventures centered around adorable and charming characters with simple plots and settings that don’t try to do too much
