The theme of ridding world of corrupt individuals and criminals is present in both series as the main male protagonist wishes to get rid of "evil" in their own ways from their worlds.
Both series features supernatural elements as well as action, drama, comedy, and a mystery like feeling.
Both series explores also features other characters who shares similar interests.
The main male protagonist in both series are intelligent, independent, and has a mind to work alone with phenomenal skills.
Both anime have a very thin line between good and evil; as in both anime the main character kills criminals and evil persons and won't hesitate to kill even innocents if they stand in his way.
Ogami reminds you of Yagami Light. Same dark look, same hotness and coolness.
