Both have a group of people in a club who obtain supernatural abilities from an unknown person. Inou-Battle is much funnier and light-hearted than Kokoro Connect, which has some dark themes.

Main cast of these series is thrown without warning into world with supernatural powers.
In "Inou-Battle" powers are typical for magic/fantasy and heroes are left without a clue how they gained them and for what reason.
In "Kokoro Connect" powers are more uncommon (like body swapping) but heroes soon learn how they gained them and for what reason.
Both series are fun to watch with comedy, romance and a bit of drama.
