I've finally started Samurai 7. I've only watched up to episode 2 so far.

It's following the movie pretty well, and yet it's already veered off a bit for it's own story. I know that makes it sound like the Theory of Yes or No, but I am enjoying it more than I originally thought I would.

P.S. To your last comment: I'd probably be more inclined to want to start Gurren Lagann.

I think it's time to start watching stuff again. The fall is practically here.

Oooooh, I LIKE Mushishi. A lot. Very mellow. The rainbow episode might be one of my favorite eps of anime ever.

I tend to enjoy a few of those too... but once I figure out the series is like that... I absolutely CRINGE at the fact the ending is going to be so UN-satisfying it will make me sick... 9 times out of 10 at least... I love the happy endings... but I also love the period on the end of the sentence even if it's not happy... just some closure please. lol

Wow. That was way back when, eh? Yes. I saw RahXephon first. You tipped me off on Gankutsuou. I was watching Trigun, Cowboy Bebop & Escaflowne already. I'm not sure how I found Utena. But Naruto is kind of funny. I knew you watched it--but I didn't. Then around the time Shippuden started--I got into Naruto. Thereby enabling me to skip all the filler that bogged down other people. LOL.

I'm on this weird anime lull again. I need to finish Usagi Drop & No. 6. I was rewatching Death Note most recently. I love looking at Obata's character designs!

Xmanime is a good friend of mine. Watch a few Katekyō Hitman Reborn episodes and that explains our dynamic pretty well. She's rather quite like Gokudera and I'm the Yamamoto (if you swap out his obsession with baseball for one of my other hobbies--heh).

I do have a bit of a closet obsession with dark stuff though... like Hell Girl and Pet Shop of Horrors etc...

well honestly my favorite genre is Drama... but in a shoujo sense... It's perfect if there's comedy and action sprinkled in there... Good example is "Kobato" - full of drama and comedy and a bit of romance... but it has a little action in it too... that's my cup of tea lol ;
