Never apologise for having an opinion - having someone disagree with you is better than having no opinion at all! Best case scenario is that both parties go out of the discussion a bit smarter than before. Starting a review like "this is just my opinion on this movie" makes you you appear insecure and degrades the whole thing. The same goes for phrases like "pretty much" or "quite". Every time I catch myself using them in my reviews I instantly delete them.
I liked "Byousoku 5 Centimeter" btw, I think the animation quality is high even compared to shows and films airing in 2014/2015 and the ending caught me by surprise because Hollywood taught me to always expect a happy end :D
The problem with your review is the extreme cognitive bias.
"It's great because I like it"
"The characters are cool because they give you the feels"
"I like the story"
These are not arguments: they are too biased and undetailed for that. And well, even if you explained why the characters are 10/10s for you it wouldn't make them any better if you look at them more closely and compared them with proper characters.
Nice akame ga kill review .. i've seen a lot of different opinions and let me tell, please don´t take it personally, i think your review is suffering from the fanboy effect .. which is normal, it happens with all of us.
I really recommend you review some parts of this anime. Yes it is cool at the beginning, i found it to but .. really ? 10/10 for plot ? What does it have to make it so special ?
The characters .. well there are 2 types of "good deaths" for me .. the ones that make the scene more real, so usually who dies just dies to give some credibility to the plot, and the dramatic ones, who are there to make some drama. Here you have none of these since the drama that they wanted to take out of here was totally weak and meaningless..
The characters i won´t discuss, i think it is based on personal opinion so ..
Think that when you are making a review, you have to be as objective as possible so the others can get some information out of it .. who see your review either will think you are some nasty fanboy or that the anime is actually great and then turns out to be not so good as you pictured it.
