the thought of shanks didn't cross my mind at all when gildart was introduced in the manga, he doesn't look anything like him except the red hair (in the manga, i imagined it as dark blonde). to prove my point, here's a comparison:



honestly, if you want to pry at similarities in art then you'd have to say that every single existing anime is copying the other one. i don't know if i mentioned it before, but mashima and oda debuted both almost in the same time (a 6 month or 1 year difference, either way one piece wasn't really that popular then) and his art has been like this from the very beginning, IMO it's even cooler than one piece. him and oda both were heavily influenced by dragon ball (don't think oda himself is an innocent genius, he might've as well shouted "look guys, im remaking dragon ball in pirate format") and they both had an imaginative mind, so these are the results you see.

anyway, i'm not a great fan of fairy tail (i liked rave master much more and i believe it was one of the greatest shounen mangas), but as long as i don't see obvious plot rip-offs i won't say anything. bottom line is: fairy tail and one piece are both entirely different in plot, settings and characters and they both are high quality mangas, so stop nit-picking at whatever you see and just enjoy it...

one piece is not THAT good... but anyway, don't be biased against it when you're watching it...

well, it's true that it gets repetitive after a while, but personally i think that the world itself is quite unique and so are most of it's characters. and the fights are not that bad either. dude, i think you've been watching too much one piece and being really unfair....

and natsu doesn't resemble neither luffy nor ace(?) in both personality and looks at all. (well except the torso clothing everything is completely different)

mangas, supposedly. i used to write stories when i was a a kid, but it was too difficult for me back then and the lack of farsi's popularity made me quit and my love for writing turned into day-dreamings (thanks to that, i now have an imagination i'm quite proud of) just until about a year ago when i started to understand the epicness that is manga, and i decided to learn drawing to turn all the stories i made up in my mind into mangas...

yeah, it's jiraia, i spelt it wrong. lol, there are still other animes that are quite great and epic. and i really liked the genral atmosphere of those arcs, i even started basing stries on them...

wait... does that mean you're already through the yoshiwara arc? damn that arc along with the shinsengumi and jiraya was my favourite...

and the popularity poll arc is really hilarious...

i guess rumbel is the best one, but rumbel is too late with the subs so you might need to get the last ones from horriblesub.

well, the story in brotherhood starts to deviate from the original from the 13th ep or so (actually, it's the original story that's deviating from brotherhood, but whatever...). so it becomes more enjoyable from there, the eps in the beginning are a bit more boring cause they're fast forwarded a bit...
