Would you happen to know of a site that has a torrent of Saya no Uta? If I can find it, I can watch/read it this winter. It rains so much here in winter that I catch up on reading and such then. Of course, I watch anoime year-round rain or shine.

I have Fate/Stay Night but have never played it. Games usually don't appeal to me, but F/SN has Rin Tohsaka, so I will play it one day.

I saw Psycho-Pass as an average cop show. The team leader was weak to start and she really did not show much growth and she was quite flat to my recollection. The two main male MC's were typical cops! I liked the "Dominator". That was a good touch. What my main issue with it was I kept seeing Ghost in the Shell while watching it. It just seemed too much like a cheaper version of Ghost in the Shell. Overall, average is just average. I really look for higher quality. I have not watched Gargantia and likely will not. Fate/Zero, however, was a very good anime. I have interest in Saya no Uta and there is a rumor, somewhat substantiated, that it is getting animated. I would watch that.

I am a pretty tough rater anyway, and it seems I get tougher as time goes by. I have completed well over 200 titles so far this year and only 20 got ratings over 7. I will complete my 1000th title overall on Sunday and my overall rating is 5.82, so you see what I mean.

I agree. Makoto Shinkai voiced Noburo and his then girlfriend, now wife, voiced Mikako. He also created the entire work on a laptop computer. His friend, Tenmon, did the music and also did it for Place Promised and 5cm/sec.

Still, it was back to doing what he is best at doing....romances! I thought it would have made a great 90 minute movie, but was too short as presented. Hoshi no Koe was perfect at 30 minutes. He did an excellent job on that. The folloing story, Beyond the Clouds, The Place Promised remains my all-time favorite anime movie, followed closely by Mononoke Hime.

I watched it last night. Yes, the art was exceptional, even for Shinkai Mokoto. The story was really too short to convey what I think he wanted to say. However, it was definately a step back to what he is best at doing. Children Who Listen to Lost Voices, or however that gets interpreted, was a thorough disappointment for me. This one shows his best is still to come. I gave the story a 7, but the art has to be a 10.

Actually, Hoshi no Koe is shorter than Kotonoha no Niwa. Hoshi is just barely 30 minurtes and Kotonoha is 46 minutes.
