To be completely honest I rarely see, or hear any one mention NGE. It's an excellent Anime, and it's definitely one of my favorites. I wont say the story is complex, but there's a lot of details you will probably miss, and you will not even realize it. If you do watch it, don't watch the movies, watch the TV series
Well, I have heard the opinions of many people on MAL, who say NGE is a work of genius, and others who think it's awful and overrated. Of course, I'll leave the judgment up to myself when I finally watch it, and I will definitely be watching the series first.
fairy tale manga a while back, and I remember thinking it was dumb, so I stopped reading it
Well, the anime is no better. It's childish, the fighting isn't very interesting, and as a whole it isn't exciting. Blech. I'm told the next story arc is where it gets good, but I don't have much hope for it.
I recently started watching Baka to Test, and I've read a few chapters of Seto no Hanayome, is Seto no Hanayome better than Baka? Baka seems a funnier? Which do you think is better in terms of comedy?
Hard to say... both are hysterically funny (you should try and watch the Seto no Hanayome anime instead of reading it) but I would say Seto no Hanayome was the better show of the two. Comedy is pretty subjective - what's funny to me may not be funny to you, so I recommend you just watch both ^^
