For the sake of not leaving a big empty space on my profile, I thought I'd share my favorite visual novels.
Just to throw this out there, my favorite video games, discounting the VNs, are:

Wall watching is a wonderful sport. It takes a lot of energy to focus your eyes on a specific point for long periods of time!

My, my, jumping to conclusions, are we? No, I'm not reading the book to have more things in common with you. I'm reading it to acquire useful knowledge that can be of service in my life.

But, but, but... Dr. Pepper is glorious! I'll give you a can this Saturday so you can try it. We'll pick you up at noon. Love you.

I'll delete it. Yes, yes. I'll follow the rules. Huh, that's odd. I was reading one of daddy's physics books just now. But, then again, you're always thinking of Science.

I want to delete Strawberry Panic, or whatever Yuri animes I listed. Is D-Gray Man not good? What's wrong with the series? No, I'm not upset, honey.

I'll be able to finish the animes. 60 is not that much. Some of them are movies.

After Story is the continuation of Clannad. I didn't like the first part as much as I thought I would. For your information, I have not been "wall-watching", I've been spending time with my family, Genesis and Camila.

I didn't love Clannad, but I liked it. I hope Afterstory is better.

Meh. I want to finish Bakemonogatari first. Senjougahara is an extreme tsundere character. Makise is much more low-key.

I'll watch a few episode of Guilty Crown, Mirai Nikki and Ergo Proxy tonight. I'm planning on beginning Bakemonogatari tomorrow.

I've taken it as a personal challenge to finish School Days... For no reason at all, really.
I'm thoroughly loving Toradora! so far.
Evangelion first struck me as being a good enough anime with a very repetitive narrative in which the characters invariably beat the odds and defeated the Angels, till the characters (Rei, Shinji and Misato most notably) did get some development. After this, I started appreciating the series much more. The ending was... strange and mildly unexpected to say the least, but I did like it. All in all, it was a most excellent series.
Mirai Nikki was extremely entertaining, though I have mixed feelings about how in the end most characters received a happy ending, although it is justified since it happens in another Timeline. Gasai Yuno... <3 Yuno was truly an incredible character. Apart from Yuno, I think that the character I liked the most was Ninth. Yukiteru could have been a good character, if it weren't for his constant need of acceptance, how he trusts others too easily, and being pathetically dependent on Yuno.
By the by, what is your opinion on Another? It definitely wasn't a bad anime, but in my opinion both the characters and the story followed a very typical horror story pattern (loud noises when important information is just about to be revealed, Mei being a very stereotypical "mysterious girl", etc.) from which it rarely deviated. I feel that some suspense was lost because of this.

Indeed, anime now occupies a very special place in my heart. ^_^ Angel Beats! was surprisingly good. I agree with your opinion on the characters and romance being quite undeveloped, but the series in general was very enjoyable, sometimes even a bit heartwarming.
Fate/Zero was incredibly impressive and the art was outstanding. In my opinion, most of the characters were quite strong and well-stablished, though I would have appreciated a backstory for characters other than Kiritsugu, if it weren't for the possibility that this could have dulled the story. In general, the narrative was compelling and very well paced. I was not quite fulfilled by the finale, though. I wasn't completely disappointed, but after the penultimate episode I had higher expectations for it.
I'm glad I watched After Story. It surprised me with the depth it added to most of the characters, and with the way that Okazaki matured. Ushio was, unexpectedly, a very lovable and believable character. I thought the ending was too "perfect" and that it erased many important experiences for the characters' growth and development, but it was undeniably sweet and beautiful.
By the way, I'll play G-senjou no Maou as soon as possible.

I've only watched seven episodes, but I've found Clannad to be incredibly enjoyable so far. I can easily see why you thought I'd dislike the series, though.
