To me what I saw in Another was very familiar. I think you need to go deep in these series.
I could see discrimination, the fact of being alone and feeling that way. Maybe I could notice it because I've gone through all these things in my ex-school. I could feel the hatred against me but, just like Mei, I didn't really care - thank God! And then appeared my first friend. She was the first who wanted to talk to me and was nice to me. Unfortunately, she was bullied by some kids in our school and moved to another school. We haven't talked to each other since then.
Soooo.. back to Another's story! The story is not believable? I know I ask too much but what do you mean by "believable". It really is a fiction. Name a "believable" fiction, please.
Apart from the discrimination thing I mentioned, you can also relate the struggling for living - which is probably the main theme of this anime. These things are from real life. If Another is not "believable" what about Naruto?.... Actually your rating of Naruto is also low. xD Our tastes differ so much =]

Well... I loved both Another and Psycho-pass. What do you meen by "there is something distant"? I guess you don't really like bloody scenes if you didn't got into Another. I was kinda disapointed by the end of Pp anyway. However, this two shows encreased my love for mystery. I haven't watched that T&B thing but it looks like Transformers to me. xD
Yes, your tastes are difficult to describe. Shows that make you think a lot? Well, it depends on what they make you think over. If it is that kind that only tries to explain some complicated stuff it gets boring. But for example SnK made me thing a lot over life as a whole, humanity, freedom, determination... although it didn't ask questions that directly. And this is a part of the anime that I really adore.
Definitely! Comedy is the perfect choice when you don't want to sink in the sea of questions. ^^

Hai! I miss that game, when I think about it but I don't have much time to play it now. Sadly, I also don't watch anime and read manga as often as I used to. ;/
Well, yeah, there were some indonesians who got really angry with me but I think it was because they couldn't explain to me what they were trying to say so I could hardly understand anything. Some bulgarians are just like them anyway.

Hey, I just saw your score of Another o.O
Why didn't you like it?
christian_otaku Nov 9, 2013 10:59 AM
lol.. It really is Levi!! The costume is fine. The problem is the cosplayer. He has to act some kind of a role. I don't know.

It really is. However, I cried in the third episode. That is one of the reasons why I expected so much from the show and got really disapointed. >.<

So how is life in Indonesia? I used to play Wartune and in my server most were from Indonesia. Funny people. But their English was awful, unlike yours. ^.^
christian_otaku Nov 8, 2013 8:21 AM
Oh, so you are from Indonesia. I understand now. That's so nice!! I wish we had such newspaper in my town, too. Unfortunately I won't understand anything from these newspapers you send me ;( Still, it is nice but the Eren cosplay is awful.
It is good that you haven't watched SAO. Really, this is the most exaggerated anime from its season. Yeah, awesome fights but the interesting plot was only for the first half of the anime. I could finish these series only because of the extremely good art and the idea of the anime itself (I loved the game and how people wholely entered it). But the plot was predictable - every girl likes the main character.. lol!!

Thats nice, an internet from a router is much better.
At least they broadcast some animations at your place. Here, the national tv shows only 1 animation series - it is Korean and made for kids. I wanted to check Slam Dunk a while ago but then I got obsessed with Kuroko no Basuke. xD
By the way, one of my classmates told me she started watching anime this summer and another said that she would like to watch Kuroko no Basuke (she loves basketball, thats why) but the second girl had told me last year that she could start Naruto, anyways. Nowadays, everybody knows Naruto. But hey! Watching Naruto doesn't make you an anime fan -.- Today I talked to a girl from another class. We talked about music and I said that I am not that into music right now, I used to be. And after being asked why, I said that I got addicted to anime and she asked: "Oh! I watch Naruto. I just downloaded the whole season". That made me laugh.

Whatever... Since you mention SAO in your post - what do you think about these series? It looks like you haven't seen many episodes before writing this review. You think that the titans are not original as villains? Why?
However, if you have completed SnK now, you should know that titans are not the true villians. That walls can be seen as two different things. For instance, Eren and Armin see them as an "oppressions and isolation" - as you said. That's why they dream of seeing the world beyond theml. They did not feel free which is contrary to the most adults who consider the walls "protection and security". So, it is a matter of viewpoint. What do you mean by saying there's a historical element in SnK? You like Dragonball? Khaa.. Can I have your other blogs by the way?

Hah... Sayuki is an older show thats why. Plus, I don't think Sanzo's personality allows rapping!? Oh gosh.. my imagination! haha - A rapping monk?! :D Really? And why doesn't Gaara rap then?! Hahaha, that would be fun.
christian_otaku Oct 27, 2013 3:01 PM
lol.. It is my third time trying to answer this post :D
Oh, Code Geass is awesome! I really enjoyed it though I cried at the end. If you like mecha you will definitely like this show. The last episode of the first season just left me with so many questions that I started the second season in the same day. Really, it was so interesting. Awesome fights and some sad moments. As I said about Gintama, it can be everything.. like honestly - EVERYTHING - from pure garbage to great fun and from deadly boring to full of action!

Sorry about your internet. I handled the same situation when I was on a holiday this year. I had downloaded only some episodes of Fairy Tail and Gintama so I finished them fast and found myself in front of the TV for most of the days. And the only anime they had on TV were Bakugan and Beyblade and these kind of anime. XD

Well, I think Shingeki no Kyojin's storyline just isn't revealed in its whole yet. Plus, you could say that the mangaka is young and by the way the idea of Shingeki no Kyojin occured to him when he was 19. I respect him for developping it! Also, this show made me feel addicted again. I watched it from my GSM and it was so good. I am currently trying to read the manga but I have to admit that the animation is much better. My deep thoughts on the anime:

Aww.. I know what commercial break is. Maybe I wasn't concentrated back then. :D I hate them. They are cutting the film at the most interesting part each time. It is not fair! I know they need money but... Last Sunday I watched a film called De javu, staring one of my favourite actors - Denzel Washington. It looked a little bit like Steins;gate because it had time travel and the purpose was to save a girl. And anyway, they showed commercials each 20 minutes. So annoying! But yes it is not bad to have a break after watching 2-3 anime episodes. Maybe I should try to do that. Back then when I was totally addicted to anime, I could stand in front of the laptop for even 5 hours. I remember completing Hidan no Aria for one night.
Haha, interesting. How can you watch a 2-hour movie in a month, lol.

Ah, I get that now. Sanzo Party is anything but glorifying hard work and team work.
Haha, these spoilers you are sending are nothing compared to windy-chan's (a friend of mine). She loved putting a spoiler in a spoiler in a spoiler in a spoiler...............

See, I tried some seinen titles but you know, most are 18+ and that is not a coincidence. I gave up on completing them because, to tell the truth, some of the pictures are not for me. Maybe I should grow up a little but even if I pass 18, I am still not sure if I will try to complete them. I am talking about Eden: It's an Endless World. Yeah, awesome fights and art, complex plot and characters but these ecchi and even hentai stuff at times. I get sick of them >.>

Trying too hard to appeal... that should be Gintama or maybe it would be better said: trying too hard to annoy. The thing is that they didn't have time to create an arch and don't want their rating to go down too much. (sorry, maybe I got you confused because of all my comments on this anime). You will understand when you watch it.

Thank you for the recommendations! I will definitely check them out when I can. I don't usually read novels.
Huh.. it would have been very cool if my town's library had some manga. I even checked out the children books and only found some comics of Witch, lol (they are not bad series but still not japanese).

christian_otaku Oct 23, 2013 12:00 PM
Well, yes. Everybody has his own taste, you know. But you never know what you may like or not. And that leads to many drops (I don't even include most of the drops in the lists here). Maybe whether I continue series I didn't like from the start depends on my mood.
I figured out that I like mecha last year after watching Code Geass. Awesome series!! Really! I enjoyed them so much. I am not sure if I should say "enjoyed" them since I cried at the end. :D

Uh-huh.. the series are like songs - we sometimes listen to them because of the melody and don't care much about the lyrics. But I either like the plot or the art (if both, then that should be a masterpiece). I do not focus so much on characters but follow what they are saying carefully when I can because I think that the main quotes typical of the characters are very important. Actually they are what makes up the lesson of an anime/manga. I am currently watching Inuyasha and definitely not for the plot! I mean, collecting some pieces of a stone sounds too boring but I like the fights in the series so far and I find Inuyasha funny.

Uhm.. I can't follow series on TV because in my country there is only one television which happens to broadcast some and sadly or not I don't have it. The national TV used to broadcast some as well, but they stopped at least three years ago.
On-going manga is okay but when the chapter comes out once a month... I'd rather wait till they finish. lol
Sorry, I didn't get the thing with the comercial breaks.
Haha, it is not weird! I also do that. I have re-watched Naruto maybe 3 times (not really all the episodes but most of them). "Zettai Hokage ni naru!" :D
Maybe I am used to it since a kid. Around five years ago, me, my brothers and sisters had re-watched Mulan so many times that we knew the movie by heart. I am not kidding! Each night everyone used to choose roles and we played the whole movie (we were saying the words only). It was so much fun. ^^

By mindblown punishment do you mean psychical attack? Looks like it to me.

Apart from mecha, I enjoy shounen, adventure, supernatural, sci-fi for sure and all that kind of stuff. Action is almost like a must. However, I just love mystery and drama. I found out that I also like horror and thriller after watching Another and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. I almost forgot to include comedy - Gintama is the best example (btw this anime is great.. it also has AWESOME fights, some drama and even supernatural in some way). But it surely isn't a masterpiece because there are many stupid episodes - maybe some kind of fillers but honestly, they are too AWFUL to even look at. -.-
Anyway, when I want to go back to reality, I watch some slice of life. This year I took a fancy to sports manga (maybe it will look better in anime). Also, I would like to try more historical anime/manga because I am interested in Japanese history and really liked Hotaru no Haka. Can you recommend some?
Finally, you should know that I hate shojo and romance.
christian_otaku Oct 22, 2013 1:40 PM
Oh, it is nothing! :)
Yup, I was kind of like that too. I used to watch only genres that I was sure I would like because I didn't want to be disappointed too much if watching/reading any series. But I couldn't help it when I saw an Another's wallpaper. Till then I thought of horror as something disgusting but Another became one of my favourite anime. So don't be afraid to try new things! -.^

I really enjoyed Sayuki and was very sad when the first series ended so I am looking forward to enjoying this one, too. It looks promising up to now. And the stories of Sanzo Party's past are very interesting!

I don't know of her previous works but Sayuki's art is unique, really!
Yes, the main characters here are the ones I call the badass good guys (I feel like it makes more sense in my language anyway) and Kou and his friends are the kind-hearted bad guys.
Weren't there some masterminds in the first series, too? Maybe the goddess who helped the Sanzo Party every now and then.
Surely, Goku is the funniest. But Sanzo is making me laugh very often although he tries to be serious.

Ohh.. My nerves are not tough enough to read ongoing series. Honestly, I just get too nervous. But I am okay with following Naruto manga since it is my first series.
christian_otaku Oct 22, 2013 3:01 AM
Hey! Looks like you are new here. So.. welcome! ^^
I am currently reading Saiyuki Reload and want to ask what you think of it. I kind of hardly remember anything from the previous series because when I read Sayuki I didn't know it had a sequel. And much time passed since then anyway. ;pp
