Yo! I was introduced to anime in 1997, while chanel-surfing and I stumbled upon Sailor Moon. A quick search on the internet procured this thing called "ah-niii-meh." Since then, in the ten years that followed, it's been an incredible journey into the world of anime and manga. I'm a 9-year Fanime attendee, and have attended Comic-Con twice.
I'm currently an art history major at SFSU, with emphasis in Japanese Art. Because I was raised on horror/suspense movies, I usually like darker, more mature titles. But that doesn't keep me from the occasional light-hearted, fluffy anime. I'm totally not into yaoi. Or loud fangirls for that matter. I really enjoy collecting anime figurines and have recently dabbled in garage kits. :D
Some of my favorite manga authors are: Mitsukazu Mihara, Junji Ito, Tezuka Osama, Matsuri Akino, and Hiroaki Samura. I like a lot of old CLAMP titles as well as Go Nagai.
My other passions include music, guitar, video games (Soul Calibur!!!), occasionally MMO's (currently playing RebirthRO), drinking, hanging out with friends and much more. :)

I heard that Paprika was a good movie so I watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I looked up his other works and came across Tokyo Godfathers and Perfect Blue and thought they were both really awesome as well. I have not heard about any new movie though. =/
