riiiight... Kaname was the brother/fiancee right? I remember reading something about it on wikipedia I think...Yeah, I hate characters with that kind of attitude too. I can't tell why, but they seem so lame, despite the fact that they want to be considered so cool XDXD

I don't know if I should say "cool" or "bad"... on the one hand, this much piracy is bad, not to mention illegal, thing... on the other, original movies are way too expensive. I mean, I think the producing companies would earn much more money if they would just sell them for less... then the demand would increase and I'm willing to bet on that! Hmm, I know how it works with bad internet connections. Used to have one too <_< only 100kbps and barely being able to download one episode in two or more hours U_U Thank god we started having some normal itnernet providers around here... and yet, I have to admit it: I do buy pirated dvds with the latest movies from a small shop hidden in the market near my home :P

I'm sure you'll manage to keep up with the series ;) It's great that you don't lose interest for the show completely... like I did with Naruto... I swear that show is too long. But yeah, finding a show that's really pleasant for you is pretty hard. That's why I congradulate you on finding it ;)

Wow, family reunion. Hope everything will turn out fine (I don't know how family reunions are there, but here, they usually end up pretty bad T_T). Kawaii! Twins! Ok, three-year-old means pretty problematic, especially if one does not have much patience or knowledge in the area (points at herself)... but still, I think twins are the cutest! And even more when they grow up to be anime fans ^^ Good luck with them ;)

Until next time!

I know the feeling. Watching something because of the company. But hey, at least you survived it ;) Btw, who was Kaname again?

Wow! We have a ton of piracy here too, but dvds can't sold as easy as they could be in the past because some laws appeared. Still, I know a few discreet shops that still work with this, but they only cover movies... not animes *sigh* No, the only way to watch an anime in Romania is to actually download it or watch it on special websites, like crunchyroll. That's why this summer I just got myself a BIG hard drive, because I like to see the animes (if I still download them and such) at a good quality. It's pretty cool that you can buy them already downloaded and burned anyway. To be honest, I would like that to happen here too...
Good choices ;) I haven't seen Rozen Maiden, but the artwork does seem to die for ;) and yes, Jigoku Shoujo is pretty good... or at least it seemed so from the several eps I've seen.

Congradulations and Happy Birthday for your cousin!!! ^^ Definitely, the more fans, the merrier!

I've seen the first ten or so episodes from Kyou Kara Maou and it did seem pretty funny. It's just that the number of eps scared me and I couldn't continue it T_T Btw, I heard that the third series started this winter... I think it was the third anyway.

Don't worry, you didn't ~.^ My weekend *sigh* problematic and a bit dull. Maybe next one will be better! Hopefully for all of us ^^ Glad to hear that everything's ok now.
So, until next time ;)

Ouch, that sounds painful! You actually bought VK? On one side I understand your angst, I would be angry too if I gave money for something I hated without knowing at first, but on the other I can't help but think how cool is to be able to buy an anime. The sole cd/dvds I have are two batches of Inuyasha vcd's and a Final Fantasy Advent Children dvd my dad brought me from Singapore, plus a Cowboy Bebop the movie dvd I managed to find through some miracle at a local library *weird, I know* Anyway, I hope that your next choices will really be at your liking ;) ^^

Wow. I usually get annoyed by those people because they treat me like I'm some retard. The fact is that they treat everyone like that, because you never know when you run into an idiot. I hear you! If only stupidity would hurt <_<

^^ I'm already cheering for you ;) Watch as many as you want (or can), cuz we all know time is a problem once you've passed a certain age <_< Anyway, I really hope you'll like those titles or at least find them watchable ;)

No prob ;) I hope your week-end turns out great! So go ahead and have fun ;) Talk to later ^.~

You saw both seasons? How did you manage? I only started it because one of my friends kept talking about how great the manga was... yeah, that was a major lousy anime. I couldn't pass the 3rd or 4th ep <_<
I could have seen Elfen Lied, had the main character's hair not been PINK! lol Yeah, when I saw the first ep of Suzumyia I couldn't believe that I had waited two whole days for the entire damn series to download. I deleted it from my comp with absolutely no trace of guilt :P

Eh, it turns into a boring, busy routine after a while, as any other job. Ouch, I think you must have gone at the of the day home with a raspy voice. Banzai! May your next job be 1000 times better than the previous ones ;)

Yeah, I played a little with my list last night and changed some ratings... still, I didn't change titles at all, so the percentage should have remained the same O_O

Let's see, some recs:
if you like fantasy genre: Seirei no Moribito (I consider it one of the best animes and definitely best fantasy), Mononoke (a bit spooky, it's got strange art, but once you get in the atmosphere it's hard to get out ;) ), Witch Hunter Robin (a pretty dark-ish series, kind of like the less bloody, more high-tech and calm version Hellsing XD)

Vampires: no, no VK, don't worry ;) Hellsing the OVAs, not necessarily the series, but if you don't stand bloody scenes for longer than 5 minutes, don't try it. The OVAs follow accurately the manga story, while the series go really bad in the last eps. Plus, the OVAs are brand new and not even finished yet :P
And, everyone's favourite, Trinity Blood. Not so much blood, as good music, a pretty cool bunch of characters (except for Esther, whom they slayed in the anime, as compared to the novels or manga). Plots involving a future Vatican, lots and lots of vampires who want to destroy the world and lots and lots of german evil geniuses who want to destroy the vampires :P Really, it's better than it sounds ;)

Classics: I consider these a must-see, as you will find them in almost everyone's list (I see that you watched Neon Genesis Evangelion - very good choice ;)
Cowboy Bebop: futurepunk, cyberpunk. Space, bountyhunters, intergalactic mafia and a bizarre crew trying to get it all right and survive at the end of the day. Incredible soundtrack and amazing story and characters.
Kare Kano. Romantic, high school... and yet, not your usual type of highschool crush, as I think this one influenced all others which followed it (Kare Kano is pretty old). It's got some really good scenes and the character development is really well done ;)
Trigun. Well, although not actually one of my favourites, it's pretty good. Many found a ton of similarities between this one and Trinity Blood. The sceneries are different, but yeah, all in all, the core stories do resemble. Unlike Trinity Blood, this one is settled on a port-apocalyptic Earth, where humanity went back to a western atmosphere. It's both funny and sad, but again, it's an old anime and you can see it in the art.
Fullmetal Alchemist: must see. 50 eps of pure angst, humour and tears, plus the OVAs and the movie, which was almost heartbreaking. Can't wait for the second season Xd

For beautiful sceneries, I recommend each one of Makoto Shinkai's movies. Usually following a romantic lead, they don't contain much action or even dialogue. However, they all have awsome art that makes you stare at your computer screen for hours and hours :P
For serious animes, either funny, sad or scary, I recommend all of Satoshi Kon's movies, but especially Paprika, which is a masterpiece!

wow, looong comment. So far so good. Can't imagine what else I could recommend you at the moment ;) Let me know how the watching goes ;)

I know the feeling. I'm a student also and I just finished my first exams... so this week was supposed to be a mini-vacation... only it wasn't for me because of my work <_< I'm a junior graphic designer and I draw or edit maps and tables regarding the worldwide travel and political risks. It sounds bigger than it really is. In reality, my week-ends (fridays and mondays especially too) are full because of the great numbers of urgent updates, while I can take it easy in the middle of the week. I hope that schedule will change though, because I missed a lot of important stuff this semester TT_TT

Wow, I had no idea South America had so many fans. Glad to hear all this! You guys are most active than we are ;) Way to go!!

Yeah I know the feeling. It happened to me when I was recommended Elfen Lied or Haruhi Suzumyia... couldn't stand both of them so I knew that I had to stop asking some of my friends for recs XD I totally agree with you on Vampire Knight! I couldn't watch it either... the graphic was too weird and the story oh, so cliche... wait, I hope I didn't get it wrong on this one. Do you like VK or not? O_O

If you don't mind, today I'll write a sleepy comment, because I'm at work right now, whishing my latop were a pillow ^^

That's great! Not only you have stuff, but you also have capable personnel! *and I think that good recs are one of the most important points* Art books are usually out of anyone's budget *sigh* I wanted to order one of Kaori Yuki's artbooks for Angel Sanctuary, but my face fell when I saw the price TT^TT

Hmmm, my first fandom was Sailor Moon and I started watching other animes (and read fics from other categories) at around 16 or so. I know, pretty late considering the age, but pretty early considering the lack of anime knowledge here. This hobby is barely now made known to most teenagers, so most romanians don't even know this whole business, although most do remember Sailor Moon XD The first anime convention we had numbered like 200 or 300 hundred people, two years ago and we all fit into a small theatre studio. Last year, at each of the two conventions, there were aproximately 1000 visitors per day. So, we're slowly but surely growing XD

Hmm, try reading reviews either from MAL of Anidb, or Anime Reactor, or, easier, ask for direct opinions ;) Still, you should go through a pretty wide range of anime types at first, in order to see which ones you like best ;)

lol Well glad you like it! XD
(and I was too staring at the pics a long time when I saw them first time.. ;D)

I actually updated (finally) the list.. but it didn't really change... Anyhow.. Thanks for the rec! :D Even though I have my opinions about Matsumoto... ^^;

You have a nice day too! ~
