its an anime someone else made it wont go the way you want it to go. As for the char dying i don't think anything is wrong with that. He had it coming. But i respect your view and oh well watever!!

That is merely your opinion on how you wanted it to turn out.
You don't view the show as a whole if you turn your back on the second season, just because a certain character dies. With 37 episodes, it's a given that he had to go down.

let me just say as a major Death Note fan that i respect your point of view and i hope that you don't get hate from obsessive Death Note fans that give fans like me a bad name
i understand your point of view and the second season was dissapointing compared to the first but i still enjoyed the hell out of it and i actually liked the ending
also if you enjoyed the first 25 episodes but hated the rest then i recommend the Death Note live action movies where they change the story up and the second season doesnt even exist, though in truth the movies would've been better if they did it in anime form since they didn't have the same epic feeling

I don't think that you're really in the minority with your views, most people I know (including me) as well as most opinions I've read on the internet agree that it went downhill after ep 25 and the ending wasn't that great. It's just that unlike you, I choose to focus on the good parts. I don't think the later episodes were anywhere near bad enough to overshadow how amazing the first two thirds were.
