Gonna type a bit about my rating system I guess, as my ratings aren't purely based on enjoyment, I also take uniqueness, conceptual interest, and individual elements into consideration. So, if anyone wants to know:
10: Outstanding show. May not be absolutely perfect, but has no major flaws, is very well put together, and typically does something unique and/or markedly better than almost all other shows. 10's almost always involve a fair amount of depth or are deeply thought provoking, though this is purely reflective of my personal preferences.
9: Great show. Typically has some defining elements that are really well done. May have some minor elements which are imperfect, but these don't stop the show from being a blast to watch. Generally also have some sort of unique concept, though a perfectly-executed familiar story would also be a 9/10. These shows typically have depth as well, though this isn't as prevalent as with 10's -- 8's that go above and beyond in some ways can also earn 9's (often by filling those couple flaws a really fun 8 tends to have), so not all 9's will have some layer of complexity.
8: Very good show. For me, shows can earn this rating in one of a few ways. Perhaps the show is well done and nice to watch, but fails to do many unique things (Clannad, Hataraku Maou-Sama). Perhaps the show has some unique and interesting hook, but falls short in some other areas (Kaiji, ZnT). Or perhaps the show is just a blast, but has some noticeable flaws/lacks some elements which hold it back from a higher rating (Kuroko, Durarara!!). These shows are all very worth watching for some reason or another, but they typically fail to be consistently exceptional -- either they're exceptional in some ways but flawed, or they're all around fun but not amazing in many ways.
7: Solid show. 7/10 is a pretty generic "enjoyable" anime rating. Any show that is a fun watch but fails to distinguish itself gets this rating (s2 Kuroko, TWGOK). Also included are some shows that try to do interesting things, but fall short in the execution (Outbreak Company). The final "7" category involves shows which would likely be 8's (or even 9's) if they weren't held back in particular ways (Shigatsu, Accel World). In general, I would recommend these shows as being fun to watch, but as being relatively generic and not particularly great.
6: Decent show. These tend to be pretty mediocre anime, though they can still be fun to watch. If they're interesting in one way, they fall flat in others. If they don't have particular weaknesses, they fail to have anything bumping the show up to "good." These are shows I could situationally recommend to others, but likely only if they were particularly interested in the genre or had seen almost all of the higher shows on my list. No reason not to watch if you're just looking for a series, but no particular reason to watch, either.
5-1: Not worth watching. Obviously, the range between a 5 and a 1 is pretty great (and, arguably, some 1's and 2's are worth watching just for laughs), but in general they are anime I don't consider worthwhile. If you don't see these on my list, it's not because I haven't seen any shows deserving of these ratings, but because I typically drop these shows and just don't have them listed on MAL. Given that a 6 is a rating of "passable and moderately enjoyable," there's just no place to recommend shows 5 and below save for comedy purposes.
