I'm an anime fanatic through and through. I started watching anime since I was a kid. I remember shows like Yaiba, Time Quest, Sailor Moon as the first ones I'd seen on TV followed by Lupin III, Ranma 1/2, Yuyu Hakusho, Dragonball, Flame of Recca, Hell Teacher Nube, Evangelion, BubbleGum Crisis and Fancy Lala. I'm pretty sure there's a bit more than that I have watched which I haven't mentioned. Ever since then, anime became a hobby of mine and is still today and will always be in the future.
In terms of picking a genre in anime, I generally don't have a clear favorite as I can say that I like majority if not all of it. I'm the type who watch all kinds of anime (well except yaoi and kiddy types or the ones aimed for children). For me, I will watch anything as long as I find it enjoyable and pique my interest.
As you can see in my profile, I'm more of a watcher than a reader. But that does not mean that I don't read manga.
