I began reading manga in 2009, and have read quite a lot since. I pretty much read any interesting manga except for shoujo (only a few) and yaoi (wtf!?). I started to watch anime in May 2012. Due to my incredible dedication, I have watched a fair amount of anime up to now. While I read manga in many diverse genres, from manhwa to shonen jump to less well known ones, I usually watch anime that is related to romance, drama, supernatural, sci-fi, or action (absolutely no romantic comedy plz). I recently discovered that some anime (especially comedy) are better if it is watched together with friends.

My Ranking System for Manga:
10 - all around really good manga. It has good character development, good storyline, decent artwork, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. A good portion of my 10/10 manga are top shonen jump manga.
9 - Still really epic manga, but usually lack a certain something. I just felt like that it's really good but does not deserve to be called as a master piece.
8 - Still worthwhile manga but lacks the well-roundedness found in 9/10 and 10/10 manga. Usually, these are the shorter manga that are not as developed.
7 - The plot usually becomes repetitive. The execution of the manga might be very cliched. Nevertheless, these manga are still worth considering.
6 - This is a score for not-so-good manga in my list. They lack in story development, intellectual content, or are just not enjoyable to read.
5 and below - even worse manga. You probably don't want to read these.
My Ranking System for Anime:
10 - masterpieces. These tend to be well-rated anime that usually belong to romance, drama, sci-fi, or action genres. Typically every episode is enjoyable and meaningful in these anime.
9 - These are really good anime that have good story progression and good characters development. They are enjoyable to watch. However, they possess 1 or 2 key faults that affect the quality of the anime.
8 - They are more flawed than 9/10 anime. Still, they are pretty good anime and should definitely be taken into considerations.
7 - The plot for these anime are not so good, or are flawed in many episodes. Or, the characters development is lacking. Or, they just might not be to my taste.
6 - Have fatal flaws for some reasons or the others.
5 - Failed to achieve what the show is supposed to do.
PS: Due to the fact that I watch a lot of well-rated anime, I tend to have high scores for anime
PS 2: If I really feel like a title piece deserves a score between 2 score points, I will post in the tags section .5 scores.
I also write reviews and do recommendations. I actually spend time thinking about the reviews and recommendations before I post it, so they are fairly accurate (at least i try my best to be objective).
Likewise, thanks for the confirm. Nice review of guilty crown, but i still think it deserves a 10 despite the flaws, probably bcs i haven't started code geass, lol
Thanks! It's one of those series I've wanted to review since I watched it, but was reluctant to because of all the reviews that already existed.
I wouldn't exactly say I know a lot about art though, well maybe I do haha, I think it's more like I just enjoy articulating my thoughts about it. Everyone's a critic :P
Hi. Happen to saw your post on the guys and shoujo thread in the manga section.
Random but try reading Hibi chouchou?
Since you said 'with the mindset of if you read one shoujo, you read all.'
It seems that you don't read much shoujo and I feel that guys will probably like that 1 with the setup.
So, I'm curious.
Sorry if it's too random.
