It actually has nothing to do with the penis troll XD It did get referenced directly later in the comic, but it was in this really homoerotic dream sequence where this one guy was arguing with a dream-brain-ghost of this friend of his and the friend jokingly started threatening to give him a boner in front of this dead alien troll ghost girl and he started pleading with him to not give him a boner until he suddenly went all "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED" and started yelling about how he would take that phantasmal erection like a man. It almost made sense and was beautiful in context. I firmly believe that they should be boyfriends, even though I don't think that plotline will be resolved so easily. The movie was Snake Eyes, but I'm not really sure what it's about or what the context of the line is. I honestly haven't looked around much for anime blogs, although I found a good Madoka blog that some of the blogs I'm following follow. From my experience, most multi-fandom blogs give a smattering of various anime, but yeah. There's also that blog of ridiculous anime lines... Yeah, I've heard that most of the big shounen manga are better than the anime adaptations because of all the fillers... so I intend to read the manga... but then I don't ^^; I think it's mostly a matter of exposure to something that's not your cup of tea, though. I honestly don't think the difference in body shape is that big of a deal for cosplay, but yeah, it seems like a cosplay that's harder to pull of than it seems. They all are. *glares at the character who I'm thinking about cosplaying because seriously look at her and her dress and her horns and ughhhh this is going to be so much work even if it's fun work: http://homestuckpatternreference.tumblr.com/post/26164819668/araneas-dress * But if I pull it off and Jamie gets her Meenah cosplay together, we can match and cosplay together and it'll be great. I can be the ho angling to steal her pointy jam. She can be the worst storyteller ever and get me on a rant about THE WORLD-8UILDING. Also, Aranea is adorable, so... I once saw people who went to a con dressed normally, except for masks of various rage comic faces. That sounds like a good plan, although you'll have to deal with some crazies at the beginning probably. Here's the weeaboo stories:

Browse at the risk of terror! Pffft, I really like Stats, so all the classes sound interesting to me. It's a class geared toward doing psychological research, though, so I think it's going to be really cool! Heh, I actually started doodling in the margins of my stats notes while we were going over syllabus. I've cut down on it a lot, though. But whenever I open that notebook, there will be a picture of Caliborn sensually glaring at Dirk with intense hatred as Dirk blankly stares back. I hope it's challenging for you too! Because honestly, I've had an easy first week, and I've spent so much time at the computer, it's not even funny. But I'm glad that you're glad that I'm back! Ugh, those people make me cringe. Including your stepfather, him especially because I can sort of match a face with the statements and that makes the cringing a lot more personal. I hope I'm sufficiently delivering on the kawaii yaois. I've drawn something new for the new profile pic. It should be up whenever I get my scanner, which should be Friday, unless I decide that it's awful and I need to draw something else before. Wait and you shall see. OHHHH WOW, it's after 2AM, I should sleep now. (And don't worry, I like long messages, even if they can be intimidating to reply to!)

It's one of those things that in context, is just kind of there and doesn't really make sense but is amusing. Out of context... it's more or less the same deal :'D People were actually terrified by that part of that flash, though, and I can't understand why, omg, it was hilarious, and made moreso by the fact that that was an actual line from one of his movies. I kind of want to see more Nic Cage movies because I've heard all of these ridiculous things he says in them, and it's great. Someone even made a song out of them... Still, I think the boner one is the best one. Well, it still changes semi-gradually, so we might not even notice. Augh, I really want Penguindrum to get an official translation and maybe get a slightly bigger fandom so that there's more people to talk about it with. I need to find some Penguindrum blogs on Tumblr... Yeah, I'm not a big Bleach fan either, but I think it's better than Naruto. Then again, I've had more exposure to Naruto, so that might be a factor. I've heard that Naruto becomes the most ridiculous series ever in terms of unwarranted plot twists later on, so I might pick it up again eventually. Then again, I've heard that about Bleach too. Himari when she's transformed (?) would be such a cool cosplay to pull off! I think you're talking about Masako, unless there's another redhead who I'm forgetting... You mean the girl with the black penguin, Esmerelda, right? Are you talking about Yoko from Gurren Lagann or is there another Yoko who I'm not thinking of? Because I've seen some really good Yoko cosplays and an AMAZING Kamina. Well, there's plenty of characters who adults could cosplay without straining credibility. Like maybe Sanae and/or Akio, that would be a cool cosplay for a couple. Or really, any parental or teacher figure, probably. Except for Negi, but he's kind of a special case. Maybe Grell, she's (he's? I know she's biologically male, but I think she thinks of herself as a woman so the pronouns confuse me slightly) kind of ageless, you could probably pull that off, if anyone even knows what Kuroshitsuji is in 10 years. But by that point, the screaming, physically assaulting fangirls will probably have thinned out over time, moved on to other things. Pfft, honestly, I would only wear part of a cosplay to class if it looked like regular clothes to someone who didn't know it XD I'd actually watch out for the kids who are taking Japanese because anime, but that's because I browse that Weeaboo Stories Tumblr too much and have heard all the horror stories ^^; I'm taking Intro to Art History, Cultural Anthropology, Stats and Research Methods 2, and Psychopathology. So it look like a fun semester, with some work to do, but not an overload like last semester was. I don't think I've seen any Mirai Nikki gifs lately, but Madoka and Homestuck (and Hetalia too) pretty much occupy my dash these days, so... Well, I sure can provide you with pictures of boys kissing and will continue to! :'D Oh, you mean the Republicans who are making the really ignorant and rage-inducing comments about rape? Yeah, that's been all over my dash too. Ugh, I just... no, those guys need to stop. Okay, I just wanted to make sure you'd be eased into the change XD
meticulousJoker Aug 21, 2012 9:34 PM
Excellent! The ships are always prepared to sail, but the sunset ships are especially dramatic! Well, Shakespeare's English almost seems like a foreign language to us, and culture is moving faster than ever... but I don't think it's gotten to that point yet :'D Yeah, it's going to be another week until the next update and everyone has completely lost it. It's actually pretty funny. It'll be so cool when you're eventually caught up and can join in on all the feels and shenanigans. Yay, Penguindrum! :D I hope I remember enough about it that I can still be a good Penguindrum buddy. That would be such a fun cosplay, I want to be Ringo in this imaginary cosplay group, omg. Apparently Megan didn't see any Penguindrum cosplays at Metrocon this year, and that made her sad. I wish there could be an actual Penguindrum cosplay group that we could do ;_; Ack, school started this past Monday for me, but so far it's been pretty chill and I have lots of energy, so that's good. Take your time replying! But it sucks that your computer is screwing up or dumb or sick or whatever the deal with it actually is :( I was about to joke that that was the plan all along, but then I realized that plans and boners and even Homestuck were all in the same comment, so this became relevant:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=507Ve-rCb8o
On a side note, I am contemplating a userpic change, although I'm not sure what to, so don't be too shocked if that happens.
meticulousJoker Aug 7, 2012 8:40 AM
Yeah ^^; Not much of a story, really, I was just kind of tired of the old one and wasn't noticing when I typo'd it because of all the l's and if I added or missed one of those, they were hard to see. I haven't typo'd the new one yet, though, and I think if I do, I'll catch it and not have to log in all over again. It's kind of modelled on the handles of the kids from Homestuck, but not so directly that anyone not looking for Homestuck will see it. idk, it just kind of came to me and I was like, "I should use this username somewhere, why not on MAL?" Omg, the thing about Batman being gay reminded me of this other thing and I'm just going to drop the link here, and maybe you'll laugh immaturely with me:

Yeah, that sounds like a really good queque!

I meant watch the sub, since the Japanese audio is in 3 different languages, and the English dub changes it all to English. What I saw of the dub was actually okay, but not as much fun as heavily accented English. They've got nothing on TK, though, when I contemplate it.
meticulousJoker Jul 24, 2012 7:53 PM
Next time you're in the mood for some Engrish, I recommend Senkou no Night Raid. There's a lot of English in it, and a surprising amount of it is really good, but sometimes their accents are really, really thick.
EDIT: It is also actually a pretty good series too.

The website might be a really good idea if you can find colleges that take it into account. No, I mean no replacement clothes XD Yeah, but Rory was unrealistically successful and fictional. I guess I could have been Rory if the probablities had worked out differently... but that's in some alternate universe, and not this one. Although I met David McCollugh, the guy who writes all those history books like John Adams and 1776 today, it was awesome! I really need to see Highlander... Not all Republicans are bad, I've met some pretty cool ones... granted, they tend to either be really moderate or socially liberal or they stop being pretty cool when they start talking politics... because not everything is Obama's fault, it's no one person's fault. Thanksgiving break starts the day before Thanksgiving... like I finish classes on Tuesday. I actually thought about maybe starting a club like that, but I joined the Game Club and the Anime Club, so I've made friends that way. Some you schedule the interview on the tour, others they call you if there's an alumni in the area. It... well, it depends on the school again. Oh, Penguindrum... I FORGOT ABOUT THE EEL! XD Seriously, I laughed my ass off at that and then forgot about it and then I was reading your blog and you mentioned it and I laughed my ass off again. I also love Ringo's daydreams. I just love Ringo in general, she's so crazy, it's great. And the subbers have a... reputation. For trolling. When you watch ep13, please let me know what he was actually saying when the sub says "Lol wut? U mad?" because that seems like a loose translation to say the least. It fit the tone of the character very nicely though, I think.
meticulousJoker Nov 2, 2011 2:24 PM
I don't mind lowering their opinion of me, I'm just afraid they won't be willing to help me dammit... Oh, I typically do that as I'm writing an essay... don't know word, look it up... because we are allowed to do that. If you want to get into more than 3 schools, apply to more than 7 XD jk, most of my schools were really difficult for anyone to get into, which explains my poor performance to a certain extent. Oh, dear God, from the stories I've heard please don't go to New College... just the stories I've heard about that place... drugs everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Not just weed, although I think that's the most prevalent one, but I've heard things about students on acid. And nudity. Lots of naked people. And drugs and nudity are considered the norm and apparently people who go there give outsiders strange looks when they get strange looks for stripping in public and things like that. The presented image and the actuality are apparently even more dissonant than Rollins. It's cheap, though, I'll give it that much. Their year will have more applications flying about since the Common App is expanding, making it easier to apply to more schools, which lowers the probablility of any given applicant getting in. And a lot of the new applicants are uber-qualified people who say things like "I may as well apply to all 8 Ivies even though I'm only really interested in this one!" It's the prestige trap. And they're loaded, so they give TONS of financial aid. Like, whatever you need, they'll give it. They're actually cheaper to go to than a lot of other private schools of similar quality because they're famous and have more money. they're also really good at getting their names out there. lmao, "I think your entire motivation and way of thinking for the past 4 years is completely stupid! No offense!" XD I know you didn't say that, but even if you did, in retrospect, I would have to agree with you a little bit. Most rankings seem to hinge on how many people pass AP exams... I applied to a school in the northeast and got in, but my mom made me do more research and I found things I wasn't really comfortable with and... oh yeah, I was having a goddamned nervous breakdown during the month I had to decide between the schools and wasn't sure if I was ever going to be emotionally stable ever again and moving away to somewhere where I don't know anyone and I'm on my own until Thanksgiving seemed like a pretty awful idea. But now my mom is saying she's going to feel guilty for the rest of her life for talking me out of going to that school and she's convinced that I'm miserable and friendless at Rollins no matter how much I try to convince her otherwise and she's trying to get me to transfer because she knows I'd get in again and be much happier there. I, on the other hand, am perfectly content to stay here because I'm making friends and getting stuff out of my classes even though the transition was a little rough at first, which all the more reason to not start all over again. I'm actually happy here, even if it's not perfect, I can deal with what I don't like and focus on what I do like. I'm happy and I want to be happy and overall I'd rather just stop trying to examine it and accept it for once. (sorry for ranting ^^;) Ah, interviews... it depends whether or not there's an interviewer in your area, but if there is, everyone should get a chance to interview.
meticulousJoker Oct 31, 2011 12:28 PM
I hope they would understand, but those French are pretty snooty sometimes. After all, they never really got over Napoleon. Napo-chaaaaan~ :3 For some reason, this reminds of the Zuiikin Gals, who do aerobics and English instruction at the same time and teach useful phrases like "Take anything you want" and "I have a bad case of diarrhea." The clips I've seen of them have been... interesting. And they induced a number of "Oh, Japan!" reactions. Yes, in retrospect, it made my college decisions much easier... psh, no one has any chance in the Ivy League. Everyone told me I'd get in for sure when I was applying, but no one from my school got into any of them. And now I see the now-seniors on facebook talking about all the prestigious schools they're going to get into and I just laugh because their year is going to have even lower probabilities than ours did... I maintain that I could have gotten into any of those 4 other schools, though, I just didn't. lol, Rollins... I occasionally call it LOLlins with its overly large ego and price tag and the administration's total denial of its party atmosphere. Oh, the humor that can be derived from all that... but it can get frustrating, listening to all these people brag about how they're going to one of the best schools in the nation when you know that the ranking is only non-nationally ranked private liberal arts schools in the South... which is not a region known for its superior educational system... Now being #1 in the northeast, that might be something since there's a lot of small private colleges that are really good but I've never heard of due to geographic un-proximity... Ah, well, I guess it doesn't really matter in the end...
meticulousJoker Oct 29, 2011 3:24 PM
I'll get on those French lessons eventually then :3 But I'm so freaked out by all the vocab in any language that I'm afraid to go anywhere where I have to rely on a second language, because there's no way I'll ever be able to learn all the words... idk, telephone seems fairly important. ...What do any of those words mean (besides Orandajin, I know that from Hetalia). But "important" and "impotent" are almost opposites D: I have enough ocd days to make me wonder... But yeah, the psych article was that bad. That's what I mean, I mean I'll have other extremely busy weeks but they won't be THIS WEEK (or rather, THAT WEEK) so I can mentally break it up like that and take things one week at a time. But for you, it just goes on forever. Although that makes it a very good thing that you have a lot of energy XD Yeah, the gpa makes me think community college might not be a terrible idea for you... you'd have to deal with a lot of idiots, I bet, but it would improve your chances at getting a full college to recognize your genius if you do well. I filled out the common app for all of the schools I applied to XD For the essay, I would give that awful advice of "Be yourself." You can write well, so you don't have to worry about hiding some lack of English ability... I mean, I wrote about how people butcher my last name and for supplements, how writing is my hobby and how Calc 2 completely blew my mind like no math before it. (Then again, I got into 3 of the 7 schools I applied to, and the ones I got into all had acceptance rates of above 30%. Make of that what you will... 3 of the others were Ivies, though). Some schools do keep track of who expresses interest in them and make it like extra credit, others don't. It doesn't hurt your chances to request more info, just your inbox a liitle bit. Oh, that gators/noles rivalry... I am glad to not be involved in it... After all, we're Rollins, the best school in the South, no one can compete with us! We're better than the Ivies even! (wait, I think you missed most of the "Rollins has a disproportinately large ego and sometimes they say things and you think they're joking but they're not" jokes... well, yeah)
meticulousJoker Oct 28, 2011 2:55 PM
So if I stick with grammar but make sure to translate the examples, that should be good? I care about grammar D: But the internet is a zone of lieniency (lol, I can't spell that word), I think, unless it's like an official email-to-professor/boss type thing. Still, I once had to read a professional article for psych and the author didn't know to either stay in the freaking past tense when you're talking about things that happened 7 years ago or put quotes around what's being said by someone at the time in present tense. It was terrible, and what made it worse was that NO ONE ELSE NOTICED. Seriously. T_T Gee, that's a lot of stuff to worry about. I mean, my week ended and things aren't going to be that bad again for a while, but for you it just keeps going :( I think I'm going to attempt nano, although it would be helpful if it had been some month that wasn't as busy as November. I really have no idea what kind of schools you're lookining at... at all... but feel free to ask ^_^
meticulousJoker Oct 27, 2011 4:32 PM
Okay~! I feel like it might be difficult without vocab lessons too... But someday that isn't part of this awful week, I'll try to give you some French lessons! I won't be able to help your prounciation much, though, but that's my weakest point anyway... There is too much stuff to do D: What's the too-much-stuff up there?
