I have been a fan of anime since 1985, though I watched a few things before then without knowing they were anime. I watched a lot of unsubtitled anime in Japanese my first decade or so as a fan.
I have been involved in parody fan dubs, anime music videos, and two related fansub groups. I have Fruits Basket characters painted on my car. I have been a panelist at Anime Los Angeles, and I run the anime rooms at Anime Conji. I attend several anime and science fiction conventions. I participate in an online "book club" style anime club, PAWD (Pick Anime, Watch, Discuss) which is hosted as a members-only group on LiveJournal, and also can be found on irc.rizon.net in the channel #anime_discuss.           |

No average person would actually take the time to go watch little girls play basketball. Plus, there was absolutely 'nothing' great about it. It is just to please people who enjoy protecting (this should be) little girls. Free! is the fanservice for female viewers while Highschool DxD is the fanservice for male viewers. Ro-Kyu-Bu SS focuses on the loli genre more than basketball itself.
