Ah Pokemon! I think I have a Pikachu one somewhere... and a Poliwhirl one somewhere too... In the living room at home, we have these giant ones of Charizard, Dragonite, and Squirtle. I got those so long ago.. *time flies* Ooo, anime characters. Which ones do you have (or are there too many to list?)

Oh interesting! I have never heard of a school doing that, but it's great that you get a chance to do piano! I wish that happened for me earlier than college.

I don't have the console that plays Final Fantasy, but I have heard the music. It's soooo good. I have a Final Fantasy CD played by the Royal Stockhom Philharmonic Orchestra. I saw a concert two summers ago called "Distant Worlds" (it was similar to Video Games Live where the local orchestra plays the music and they have a screen showing clips from the video games) and enjoyed it very much!

School is good - haven't done much teaching yet, but I have been able to get a feel for the routine and gotten to know some of the kids' names. This week I'll be working with individual sections in each class before I start getting into teaching the full group. So much to do! I hope you have a great second week of school and do well on your test!

xD I love stuffed animals too. I have so many of them but I tend to favor birds and aquatic creatures. But above all, my platypus is my favorite haha.

I self-taught myself piano in high school, but I didn't have piano for class until my second year of college. My degree requires four semesters of piano class to get the basics of it (scales, accompaniment figures, chord progressions, sight-reading, transposing, four-part choral works). I wish I was able to take piano lessons eariler though - it's always a handy skill to be proficient at the piano.

I saw it on the shelf about two-three weeks ago so it hasn't been out a long time. There's a ton packed into it which is why I ended up skimming it instead of reading it since I was pressed for time. I'm not sure which genre I've read more of (might have to take a look at my short manga list later to figure that out).

I think I would fail at sewing. So it would be a stitcher for me too.

Yes, I will be teaching band for high school and/or middle school hopefuly. Thank you for the good luck - I start intern teaching tomorrow morning at 7:15am. I hope that it does go well and that I learn a lot out of it. I'll be missing seeing some of my college friends though since I won't be on campus at all during the high school (7:15a-3pm) day.

'Tis the season for video games. Haha, yeah, Fire Emblem is pretty sweet (I did do that silly blog entry where I made Rikkai into some of the characters). And now I have made a desktop based off of some images from the game that I will post up soon. I put about 40 hours into the game I think this break and I'm about five hours away from the end. Oo.. never played any of your games, but Kingdom Hearts is always good. And I really like Kingdom Hearts soundtrack music.

Hey, it's okay. The fic's individual chapters turned out much much longer than I had anticipated. It's a good thing :) And finally, Ch. 12 is 99.9% done - needs an error-proof read again, some formatting, and it will be completed.

It was just fine. Got a gift card for Barnes & Noble so I can buy something off the website that they don't carry in the bookstores in either my hometown or my university's city. Just debating what I want to get... I'm missing random volumes of a few series I'm reading. And my brother got me some nice chocolate (which he'll probably help me eat since I don't eat too much sweet) and a stuffed animal penguin (^^).

I've always wanted an FMA pocket watch, but the ones online were expensive with shipping and this store in the mall that has a random collection of goods from Japan had it around $40 x.x. But about two weeks before winter break, I showed up there looking for ideas for Christmas gifts and they just received a shipment of new goods that day including a whole bunch of Vampire Knight (which became super popular this year for some reason even though the series has been in bookstores for a few years) and Kuroshitsuji stuff. And then I saw the pocket watch and it was $30 I believe so I went with it! Lol - a friend of mine has the one from Vampire Knight as well. I didn't even realize Zero had one... Speaking of VK, they just released the official fanbook in bookstores and I ended up skimming through it (don't have time to read it right now). It's very.... high-energy? Japanese manga authors crack me up - when they write sidenotes, it always seems to be in a form of a question or some peppy, cheerful tone as their trying to make a joke.

Ah, well, at least you were able to be w/ people you never see. I don't think there is a shop around here for cosplay costumes... I think you have to buy it all online or find a friend that can sew or something.

I'm also in holidays 'til the 3rd. I am starting my student teaching so I completely forgot that high schools start school again on the 3rd (because college students start a week later on the 10th). Thank goodness I thought about checking their schedule yesterday. But it shortens up my break :(

My break was completely spent playing Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (I finally worked up the effort to start a new game since I've already beaten it once) or working on my fanfic (Ch. 12 will be done before break is over) or working on a profile layout (finally). Lots of good things to come!

I don't remember if you told me or not, but when did you pick up the piano? 'Tis a lovely instrument - I wish I was better at it, but my hands can't play too independently... like quarter notes against eighth notes and such are fine, but syncopation or rhythms that don't line up is hard for me on teh piano.

I think Abingdon Boys School is my top fav out of the group... or at least, the group with the most songs that I like lol.

So sorry about your concert that was over a month ago :( I hope they come back next year for you too!
