I don't read manga. I have nothing against it really, I just know that I don't need yet another distraction in life. Anime has already become a fairly large and time consuming guilty pleasure of mine, and the last thing I need is to get into manga as well.
My general rule is to never watch dubs. You lose the original intended inflections and subtleties in dialogue, and reading is not hard. This also helps to avoid silly editing by the licensing company to make the series in question "fit in" with whatever network it's being aired on.

Oh well, I suppose it isn't meant to be practical.
Keep in mind that he can leave the forest now, he just have to make sure not to drink from the new white bamboo trees. So he can be the gateway between the forest and the village to gather resources and take care of the babies. (Tho the village seem to desert him, I guess he can make it work out over time).

Glad I could help. I felt the same way about the second arc of Aoi Bungaku. Although good, the second arc didn't seem to "fit" with the rest. Likely done that way for contrast. Difficult to know if it was true to the author or not. The third arc is very good indeed. I probably like the first one best. In all, it is a stand out piece. Sadly, we haven't seen anything of its caliber in the last two seasons and spring is looking pretty bleak.
As for Planetes, she'll be o.k. As with so many shows, the 4 to 6 episodes are all cute and airy and then then things get more serious . . . . not that there aren't comic moments throughout. Just focus on the rest of the story. It's worth it. Having known several helicopter crews, I find some of the quirky personalities and joking fairly realistic.

I'm yet to watch TTGL, the series and the movies. But I don't think the TTGL movies are retellings of the TV series episode...At least I don't think so.
But yea, Anno, the creator of the Eva rebuilds, made this quadrology/tetralogy so that even new comers to the Eva franchise would understand what was going on. Instead what it turned out was a cash-filled proudction that only fans of the original series enjoyed. And going by the forums even many old NGE fans weren't very happy with the movie.
No one warned me that I should be watching the series first. Although I will watch it later, just to see what all the hype is about.

Know what you mean about your plan to watch list. I do go through it now and again and eliminate things I'm really not likely to watch. Kinda need to to that again sometime soon.

Indeen it did. I edited the rest of the text 3 times and it didn't appear on the review. Then I figured out it was because right where it stoped I had a <3 symbol, and I presume the system can't go on because of it. So I deleted it and tried again.
