I didn't like anime not so long ago, I thought it was all like DBZ or G Gundam. I just started getting into anime more recently after someone reminded me I watched and enjoyed a lot of anime as a kid. So far, I favor either romantic, dramatic, or fast-paced high action shows.
I don't like anime that goes beyond 30 episodes. In my childhood I did, but now, I prefer shorter, well thought out stories that aren't too "episodic" or leave too much room for plot holes. Hate filler.
I also prefer anime that aren't too immature, but haven't found many good "seinen" anime.
Just because an anime is in my dropped list doesn't mean I hate it or think it's bad... Mostly, they're just anime I watched that failed to hold my interest because they didn't suit my taste.
