I am a somewhat recent graduate of Columbia College in Chicago and am working as a barista and a freelance designer in the city.
My favorite things in the world are books, film, music, nature, and of course ANIME!
I love "artistic", or beautiful animation. Since there are too many series to list, I'll say directors like Masaaki Yuasa, Hayao Miyazaki, Shinichiro Watanabe, Yoshitoshi Abe, Koji Morimoto, Katsuhiro Otomo, Isao Takahata, and Satoshi Kon are all produce my favorite work.

As for manga, I'm working on Chobits right now. It's really a great story. Love Hina turned out to be great too. I bought volume 8 and it really turned things around.

I didn't like Serial Experiments Lain much. It was fine at first, then it got really weird.
I'm liking Lucky Star and Minami-ke. They are both funny.
