I'm not even messing with the TV thing anymore. My head hurts >_>
I can't really think of a situation in which I would rather watch something on the TV than on my monitor. Not anime, not movies and not video games. I was just getting overzealous.
I just can't stop thinking about it T_T I haven't felt like this since I wanted my mom to buy me a PS2 but she wouldn't until Christmas.
The game that got me to finally decide to buy a new computer was The Elder Scrolls: Online, I was still on a Skyrim high at that point but no information of the game had been released though >_> apparently everyone thinks it's going to suck now, I'm still going to get it though. The concept is intriguing enough for me to overlook any concerns other people have with the execution of an unfinished game. Apparently the most common complaint was that it didn't seem to innovate enough on the "MMO" formula, which is kind of perfect for me since I've never played an MMO :p Do you have any thoughts on it?
Then there was The Basement Collection which made me realize that if I can't even run a bunch of shitty flash games on my computer then something was seriously wrong o_o I thought about just getting a new OS but then there was XCOM: Enemy Unknown...
Now, I have no fucking clue why I like this game. I never really knew much about it or the series. But I started watching this guy play it and it was just... It's like when I first started playing video games you know? You just saw your friend playing a game and you just HAD to have it. It was the same feeling. I want to take that feeling all the way. I want to feel like Christmas morning (hopefully before Christmas morning >_>).
It even made me look past my disaffinity for buying subtitled sequel/reboots of games in a series that I haven't played before (it hurts my OCD -_-).
It's even on 360 and the guy who I'm watching play on PC says that he likes to use the controller more than mouse and keyboard o_O
As I said I have no idea why I want it but I NEED IT. Might as well get it on PC since I really wanted to get TES:O and any future Edmund McMillen games.
Have you played XCOM:Enemy Unknown? What do you think about it. Please, feel free to be honest even though I just acted like this game was my Mohammed ^_^' I really don't know why I like it so it would be interesting to know what someone else thinks about it.
Also, I don't really generalize or group fans of any media together and prejudge them so you didn't have to say that about Valve fans ^_^ I don't really attach any negative connotations to "meme spewing" (or much of anything) either.
Wow o_o sorry about this giant wall of text. But this is what video games do to me...
