I like Anime and Manga and would like to see it as a more legitimate art form in modern discourse. I play Magic casually with friends and operated an Anime Club at my high school for 2 years. I am a national championship debater and currently judging high school tournaments. I also work full time while studying computer science at community college. I play video games pretty frequently with friends, who are on average much more skilled than me. During parties we will have mac and cheese served at 2 AM, a tradition I inspired a couple years ago that persists.
About Animu/Mango:
My favorite genre is Mecha, Preferably Super Robot.
My least favorite genre is School/SoL, that doesn't mean that I hate it, rather I will often not choose to watch it.
If a manga has an anime adaptation that is faithful, I will watch that and maybe get around to the source material.
I am aware of my biases as I watch anime and compensate for them. I try to watch everything objectively.
My favorite animation studio is J.C. Staff, My favorite upcoming studio is Studio Trigger.
I prefer Comedy over Tragedy, it's just in my bones.
In my opinion the Industry standard for animation has been so heavily modified that we all end up with shows that look about the same, and despite how much easier it makes the development process revokes a bit of originality from modern projects. I am eager to see much more developed CG taking this mantle inevitably.
I do not write fanfiction but I am sure I could. I might end up flexing my creative muscle in that sometime soon or per request.
