Most recently finished show: Shigatsu no Uso
Picked this out of the Fall14 shows that I hadn't watched. Shigatsu in particular because it had by far the highest score here on MAL. I did not know what I was getting into, other than it being a drama in a classical music setting (like Nodame Cantabile?) and it looking awesome (like 5cm per Second?). Spoiler tag for my thoughts, cos, spoilers.
It was clear what the ending would be like after just a few (5? 6?) episodes. Yet, or maybe because of this, the first half was sometimes hard to watch for me. There were not a lot of relief (comedic or otherwise) scenes in between all the "halp, i can't play/hear" ..and it only became apparent much later on that this was probably deliberate. The few comedic scenes though were very nicely drawn in the particular ">_<"-type A-1 style, which I'm a big fan of. Kaori, at this point, was carrying the show hard, through the too many mom-flashbacks.
Yeah this means I kinda enjoyed the second half more, even with all the sadness about Kaori. Most of the other characters were very good, Tsubaki and Watari both did an awesome job as (more or less) side characters. As did Emi and Takeshi. The arc with Nagi was also exceedingly awesome ("I'm exhausted, but I want to keep playing until I collapse") ..and Arima getting his shit together just to lose it again was not a surprise by any means, so it wasn't really too bad to sit through.
Of course I would have really liked to see a (very very unexpected) good ending.. or maybe an earlier ending like this, and then another episode with everyone getting their shit together again. But eh.. it does not change the overall quality of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. The actual "uso" being what it was, was also kinda unexpected to me so it was nice to see it revealed in the end.
I guess the pacing would probably work even better in a manga, maybe, but the visuals in this show were just so good.. I cannot really imagine the whole experience being worse than reading the books.. and I'm most certainly not gonna be reading them, either, probably! Instead, I'll just finish this colorful experience by rating it 9/10. I thought for a minute of giving it an 8/10, because meh, the ending.. QQ.. but I know I will never re-watch the show to up its score (see "how I score things"), and Shigatsu no Uso is better, and was a more.. uh.. enjoyable memorable experience than many 8's on my list. In fact, it was probably one of the best anime in the last 5 years. On top of this.. the first opening song and the second ending song were among the best OP/ED of the past few years also. I legit cannot stop listening to the ending song.
Last but not least, Shigatsu no Uso is among the very few shows where I actually remember pretty much all of the characters names. Overall, outstanding. May have been tempted to 10/10 it if the first half was better paced(, and Kaori survived!). Cos I also just pre-ordered her Good Smile figure!
Currently watching, or "watching", or planning to watch next: Inou Battle wa Nichijou (just finished)
Legit not very good. If you haven't watched either Chuunibyou or Seitokai no Ichizon, time is better spent watching those. And if you have watched them, then you've pretty much already watched Inou Battle. I'm rating it 6/10, cos Chifuyu is cute.
Imo the main problem if this show is the fact it is all over the fucking place.. starts as superpower slice of life show, turns into generic harem without even having a real sidestory for all the girls, then turns into some kind of Fate/Stay -type holy war anime.. and by the last episode, doesn't really wrap up ANY of the attempted stories. Shame, I did kinda like the characters, seiyuu and the initial idea of the product.
I really hope the next Fall14 show I pick up will be a little better.. any suggestions? : p Out of Amagi Brilliant Park, Shirobako (though not all BD's are released yet), Sora no Method, Sanzoku no Musume and Ushiawareta Mirai. Plz.

Shigatsu no Uso OP1/ED2 (stunningly good)
Yama no Susume 2nd Season (As easy, compelling, yet satisfying to watch as the first season. Every single character is likable. This anime literally makes you want to go walk up a mountain. Encouragement of climb, indeed.)
When Marnie was There (finally got around to this. Super awesome Ghibli movie.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vekfuYxajRU (:D :D :D :D :D)

How I score things:
1-4/10: I don't usually score anything one to four.. cos it's so bad I have probably already dropped it and deleted it from my list. There are exceptions of course, where I somehow forced myself to sit through any of this, or single episode OVA type shows. 5/10: Eh pretty bad. Well below average, but managed to keep me interested for long enough to eventually finish it.. maybe.. or I've already dropped it and no one will ever know. If I've finished it, it was probably way after it actually ended airing. 6/10: Average. Not good, not bad. Probably one aspect in the show that was fairly good even such as a well animated fighting scene for example or a very nice opening/ending theme. 7/10: Go-To score for when I dunno really what else to score it. Show was good, but nothing special. 8/10: Very good, and well above average, in a literal sense. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. But it just didn't make the cut to the awesome level. Maybe there was a boring arc, or bad op/ed.. or the show wasn't top notch yet the op/ed were super awesome. Or I just objectively didn't enjoy the show super much yet can appreciate it on another level. Anything at 8/10 I would recommend watching to a fan of the particular genre. 9/10: The best. There wasn't much, or anything, that I could personally complain about, maybe I can see where other people would.. but on an objective level I just fukken loved this anime. Would recommend. 10/10: I don't usually score anything 10/10 right away. Any anime on my list that are 10, are there because whenever I re-watch a show I will up its score by one (only once, of course). There are very few exceptions, such as multi season shows where I scored one season 9 and another (or a complementary movie) 10, or vice versa. Or shows where I actively pursued .. well .. MOAR. Such as merch, music, posters or bought figures of, and/or maybe adjusted my "fav character" list here on MAL. Anything on my list at a 10 is something very special to me. For example, Lucky Star and Air are 10/10 because I literally went to Japan to check out the real life locations those shows were based on.
There are, as of writing this, 28 shows that are 10/10 for me. Out of over 700 completed entries in my list. Which is just about 4%.
My "most recent" 10/10 shows are the second season of AKB0048. Which is probably my most re-watched anime out of all of them. I've seen the real AKB48 live on a couple of occasions which might make me a bit biased, but my list isn't supposed to be completely subjective.
Tamako Market, which I rewatched at least twice, plus kept the opening song playing for days. PS: The birds English voice is pretty well dubbed too!
Prisma Illya, which i spent well over $200 on for figures and other stuff. I just really like Illya okay : p
And Madoka Magica, which I haven't completely re-watched yet, but gave the movies a lower score. The franchise as whole is 10/10 worthy in my opinion.
