Ah, never mind then. I'll just go with one of the groups highly rated on MAL (which isn't always a good choice)

I won't bother asking if the DVD subs are decent, since I can only seem to find half of the volumes in the UK in Region 2. I could get the whole thing on Region 1 DVD but that wouldn't be of much use to me.

The whole modern widespread moe craze is certainly more recent than Azumanga Daioh, which is one of the reasons I'm prepared to consider it still. If it came before the current onslaught of vapid moefication then there's a good chance it will be different to the stuff coming out today in a significant enough way to not make me projectile vomit as a reflex when I see it.

As I continue my quest to see every anime starring Norio Wakamoto, my attention is constantly drawn to Azumanga Daioh. HERRO EVERYNYAN. HOW ARE YOU. FINE THANK YOU. OH MY GAH!!!!

I've seen that scene probably 100 times but never really thought about watching the anime itself since it just looked like "Lol generic moe girls comedy" but after seeing it so highly regarded on the anime list of my Eternal Rival(TM) I started to give it some serious consideration.

Any particular subs you'd recommend?
