But I guess I'll add a few things to give you some perspective.

As far as preferred genres, I really enjoy drama, comedy, psychological, scifi, fantasy, thrillers, the occasional horror, and well-done romance. I have a soft spot for the surreal, weird, and over-the-top as well.

In general, giant robot mecha, harem, and "cute girls doing cute things" slice of life anime aren't really my thing. There's definitely exceptions to that, though, like the Monogatari series and Evangelion (if you even count that as mecha).

As for my viewing methods, I really prefer to do it the legal way, even if it means streaming at a slightly-less-than 1080p HD perfection. I like to support shows I watch and the industry I love. Fuck me, right? Seriously though, streaming is a hell of a lot better of an option than it used to be. The anime industry is finally catching up. Fuck hulu with a rake, though.

Oh, and I'm absolutely horrible at rating things, so don't take it too seriously. I'm way too generous, and I really just rate according to enjoyment.
