I see, that's nice. I mean, keeping up with seasonals is a great way of discovering gems.

It looks like any typical shoujo there is. The visuals and animation look great compared to the original (especially the battles) but the character design... just no.

I'm afraid it's been years since I last watched seasonals. Now I'll pick one ir two up if something really catches my eye. I can see what you mean, though. There are a lot of long anticipated sequels coming out this spring. I might even watch the new LotGH (to see just how bad it is) and Tokyo Ghoul.
Do you keep up with the seasonals?

Thank you :) Heh, that's true; a lot of new titles are coming up every season and it feel impossible to keep up with them (at least for me).
From what I watched I would recommend:

1. Zankyou no Terror - a very emotional show. In essence, it is about terrorism, but what the viewer sees is what's actually behind the scenes of the terror attacks. I don't wanna say to much because I might spoil it, but by the end when you understand the motivation behind it it's pretty overwhelming.

2. No.6 - I watched this one a while ago and don't remember everything about it, but I can say it's a sci-fi piece about a dystopian future where there's people that live in sort of utopic cities and have a good life and then there's the others living on the wastelands that can barely survive. This guy, Shion, lives in the city but after saving another guy who is an outsider, is kicked out and he finally realizes just how effed up the world he lives in is. It's pretty entertaining and rather short.

3. Kuroshitsuji - maybe you've heard about it, maybe it doesn't feel like it's your type, but I say give it a try. It's about this young earl, Ciel, that loses both his parents at a very young age and in order to avenge them he makes a pact with a demon that becomes his butler. What I especially love about this one is the atmosphere it gives off. The whole thing is set in Victorian English and I might say it stays true to it.

4. Gosick - again, can't really remember the details but I know I quite enjoyed this one. It's essentially about a guy that comes to study in a foreign country and mets a very bright and talented young girl, Victorique, that has this talent to solve even the deepest mysteries. Obviously, they solve mysteries together.

5. Eve no Jikan - this 6 episodes ONA is a short but powerful story about what would happen if humanoid-like robots were to serve us. It deals with themes such as what makes a being and how we should treat AI but at the end of the day it's very lighthearted, slice of life like. Powerful message but cosy watching experience.

6. Cuticle Tantei Inaba - this one is comedy, action, supernatural and shounen. I'm not sure if you like those genres but I feel like Cuticle Tantei Inaba is that kind of anime you should go with after a very serious and challenging watch because it's short, fun and silly. There's nothing serious about it. Staying true to the beloved Japanese type of humour, the anime is about a detective that's part human and part wolf that solves mysteries revolving around other chimera like creatures, as humans cannot. I don't wanna spoil to much so if it appeals to you I say watch it.

I absolutely loved Oniisama e... and I'm watching Versailles no Bara right now. As for the others, I plan on watching Ace wo Nerae at some point. I'll definitely check out more of Osamu Dezaki's work. Thank you for the recommendation.

As for newer anime, I agree. I watched my share of it, both bad and good (I have started this list recently. The previous one was over 200 entires, mostly post 2000 stuff) and yes, there are some amazing pieces here and there that shouldn't be overlooked just because they're new, the same as an older series shouldn't be judged by their age.

Thank you for the friend request :D Yeah, I am mostly into older stuff. When I started watching anime I used to seek only new ones, but after watching a few pre '90 titles I realised I was missing out so many great anime. Right now I'm focusing on those but I'll probably get to the newer stuff too.
