My name is HSIMA, but you may call me Susan. I am male and 16 years old.
I have turned to various internet platforms such as MyAnimeList to better connect with individuals whom can hold extended conversations about more intellectual topics.
I have good knowledge of all the major works of art, film, literature, and music that best represent human intellect. However, I quickly tire of the possibilities offered by each of the aforementioned media, since they have only given me a few years of excitement before I matured past them. I discovered anime two years ago, and have since embarked on a comprehensive survey of deep and meaningful anime. For me, anime represents a promising medium, which combines the imaginative traits of books, the aesthetic qualities of art and film, and the sensuous experiences of music. Anime seems to be the most logical next step of human intellectual development, following naturally from these other media.
My anime list is not yet up to date, it is a work in progress. I am a busy individual and have not had the time to properly update it with the ideal level of detail and completeness. I hope to remedy this situation in the future.
My study has granted me an unique framework of evaluating anime (as well as other media), which I hope to outline in a more systematic way at a future date. Though there is some calibration to be done, I believe I am close to an objective method of quantitatively ranking and comparing different works. For now, please educate yourselves with the following schematic:
La primavera (spring) comedy - birth - fear, novelty, optimism
L'estate (summer) - romance - life - optimism, experience, transformation
L'autonno (autumn) - irony - maturity - transformation, reality, pessimism
L'inverno (winter) - tragedy - death - pessimism, sublimation, fear
All works can be broadly classified within the four seasonal attributes, and further subdivided into twelve modes. Both attribute and and mode are cyclical and inter-connected, and is a mirror of the human condition.
An evaluation of works yields a representative work of each of the four attributes, and three sub-works that represent the three modes within each attribute. Ratings reflect how well a work addresses the attributes and modes.
