Hey Glitner I saw your post and nobody seemed to have answered your question yet about where you can download VNs from VNDB. You can geta bunch from here:

It is really the best place I know of for VNs but for some reason folks won't link it in the forums, the name and description I guess or perhaps they don't know about it. There is also a false misinterpretation about the site being illegal even though the EU courts ruled otherwise so that is a factor as well. Higurashi or Umineko are ones I would definitely recommend too but to each his own as there are so many out there anyways.
