One night deep in the mountains of Alberta a small group of explorers were hiking off the trail, they noticed an eerie light behind some trees, they followed it but it always seemed to be out of their grasp. Before they knew it they were lost, and it was dark. They nervously decided to set up camp and hope that the morning light would help them get back to safety. In the middle of the night a sound, a whisper could be heard in the distance. "John wake up" said Woodrick, nervously as he shook John. John groggily woke up "What is it this time Woodrick?!" He barked "I heard a noise, maybe there's some park rangers who can help us out." Woodrick responded. "It's really cold here and I have work tomorrow so I'll do anything to get home faster" John replied. They decided to travel light and leave their non valuable baggage behind, they had no use for sleeping bags, Chris Earls or their box set of Seinfeld episodes where they were going, they were simply too tired to carry it all. They followed the sound but it never seemed to get any closer or louder. "Gosh I don't know about this, what if it's a spook John?" Woodrick whimpered "Everyone knows there's no such thing in Canada" John shot back. Little did the duo know if you die in Canada you die in real life. They stumbled upon a cave and entered it, no longer thinking about rescue but just curious to find out what the sound was. "I think I read about some kind of monster that the locals avoid up in these mountains" John mused, trying to scare Woodrick. Sometimes you need to be careful what you wish for. After what felt like minutes of walking the whisper grew louder, but was still unclear, but they saw a faint light in a crevice. John and Woodrick entered the crevice and found a disgusting hunched creature, resembling what looked like some kind of warped and twisted interpretation of a local Canadian. It looked to them and uttered a quiet phrase "I think Berserk is a little overrated actually." The two didn't waste a second and ran as far away from the monster as they could. Folks back home say those two never were the same when they got back from the mountains.
