Wow, as of right now I'm quite in my infancy as an anime fan. I was introduced to it in small amounts as a lad with Voltron primarily, then my older brother introduced me to some movies (Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll, Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell, Akira), and it sort of fell by the wayside during the latter years of my youth. Now as youth in spirit, I have been reintroduced to it by a good friend. Seeing all of the series that are out there that I had NO idea about, and now discovering them by the bucketload, and trying to balance out time to actually watch them all, it's absolutely mind boggling. But, it certainly is a WONDERFUL problem to have!

I TOLD you it was a terrific series!
At SakuraCon I got to get my picture taken with Sumi Shimamoto and got her autograph on my new blu-ray copy of Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind...although for you maybe a better reference would be that she played Chiaki's Mother in ep 4 of Momo Girl Goddess of Death. Or Mei and Satsuki's Mother in My Neighbor Totoro...
She was really great at her Question and Answer session! (^_^)
It really was sad how much the character art degraded/changed between first and second season... You take the time to watch and get accustomed to the odd art style of first season, and can really get hooked in with the characters, then BAM! Second season blows it all.
The art, animation, character design... It pretty much all changed... I've added it to my 'dropped' list, I believe it is time (perhaps?) to add it to yours... (T_T)
