You know, when I read those responses I got really sad, because I realized how aggressive people can be... But I felt determinated... and I turned vegetarian. I seldom eat milk or eggs, I try to avoid them, but next year I will become vegan, somehow my family still restrict me.
But after all, I feel completely better than before... maybe we can be friends and share some thoughts or experiences :)
I liked your topic about Sword Art Online and I have to agree. It's frustrating that people say "Don't look too deep it's just a show" when in the world today ALL media influences what society thinks whether they're aware of it or not.
Sorry for the delay ^^" I agree with all you said.
Also, what bothers me the most is how people just dismiss any reflection about what they watch with the "it's just anime" argument. People can't see how entertaintment can reflect values from society and even support them.
Just passing by to say that your posts about sexism in Sword Art Online are AMAZING. (Yeah I found your topic in forums, but then there are few people willing to think seriously about the matter.)
Nice points criticizing Asuna's character, and without looking like a hater ranting. Too bad MAL forums aren't a good place to discuss serious matters.
