Same technique, but I usually don't make my own background for member cards.

The main image, text, border, shapes, and layer effects on the fonts (usually an outer glow or stroke for me since I almost always use white for font) is what I do for member cards. If you understand how layers work, then you're good to go. Every time you add font to an image in PS, it is its own layer and changing it won't affect the main image. Keep the .psd file because that is how to edit the card for other people. The .jpg or .png image is not editable and it is the final product that goes online. Hopefully that didn't sound confusing at all

Gotcha. It's kind of hard for me to explain how layers work and how to use layer styles, but there are some online tutorials about them. I use a lot of brushes that I have downloaded on the internet to make backgrounds.

If there is something in particular you want me to make for you, I can give it a go. I'm usually fine with making profile pictures. I can add background if the original picture has a basic background (that way I can get the character out of the picture easily). Avatars are fine too, but mine aren't super fancy cool like some peoples'.

Simply put, you can ask me to try something and I'll do my best for you.

You're very welcome :) I do like how the background turned out in that picture since I tried something that was a bit newer for me.

And about your message, I'm curious of if you use Photoshop, and if you do, how much do you use it?
